      Just a fun fact, you can see one of the new host bodies (post transcending) walking around in the background at one point in the episode. The tall body with no arms.

      Ok. I don’t have HBO so people keep saying Christina is virtual. So is she a host in a body or virtual like Maeve was in Warworld? Confused. If Christina is virtual then are the people she interacts with, like her boss or roommate also virtual?

      Why is the security of Delos so easy to penetrate, no matter the season? People can just easily open doors and walk around. There is no counter action to someone messing with it usually.

    The fact that I can't predict the ending, despite Westworld leaving clues everywhere, is why I love this show. Teddy is the key, and don't we still have a Host Ford somewhere?

    • @puppetmaster8551
      @puppetmaster8551 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Don’t think there is a Ford host anywhere, also think Christina/Dolores is more of the key than teddy. Also think Halores is one of the main keys, I think once she’s revived she’s gonna switch sides to try and stop MIB from destroying the sublime, we see Hale at the dam in the trailer so i think the message Bernard left was actually for her and I also think the gun he stashed at the dam early in the episode is also for Hale because she’s seen with a handgun in the trailer. She also had a Pearl with her so I’m wondering if that’s Maeve’s Pearl or if Hale is gonna try and bring Christina/Dolores into the physical world to help with William. Anyway who knows what’s gonna happen, those are some of my predictions but you truly never know with this show.

    I thought the writers were hinting pretty hard that Christine was not really there, that's why Caleb did not see her (not because he was sleeping) and that's why Frankie did not bump into them when they walked down the same hallway. It was because she was not there.

    I like how charlotte thinks "transcending" is going from either superior human bodies or an infinite data stream to big, armless robots with no knees. Like...no wonder the hosts are offing themselves. She's trying to make them walking iPod shuffles.

    • @MAYK1NG

      I got the impression that those armless robots were a transport tool to take their 'mind-core' balls from their former human bodies to insert into the great big computer system at the hydro plant so they could join the infinite data stream.

    He’s still running iterations on the sublime and the message was to himself. “If you give her a choice” was about his realization he can’t offer the sublime to Maeve as his first test in aspect ratio shows she would chose it every time and this iteration shows what happens with her help.

  • @adamkern5

    If you watch the trailer for next week's episode, you can see Halores hands with her gloves holding the tablet with Bernard's message, which are the same gloves she's wearing when shooting the gun in the hoover dam.. Also it makes sense that he's talking to her, since she's the one who created this world after all.

      If Halores goal was to access the sublime and bring the Hosts into the REAL world, That would be a problem for the Hosts in the sublime. Remember the Hosts have spent hundreds if not a thousand years in the sublime. Just think all those Hosts will be OP af. They won’t be the same vulnerable Hosts they use to be no no. They will prob be highly intelligent and most likely be a threat to Halores lol. They will see her little squabble as meaningless childs play. And probably won’t even leave the sublime.

Reach with your left hand." This episode basically confirms that we have been watching two different timelines- the Dolores / Teddy timeline and the Bernard / Maeve timeline. Bernard must have found out in the sublime that the end of the world is inevitable, but that is not the end. He likely saw that Hale succeeds in all aspects of her plan, including pulling the hosts currently in the sublime, which explains how Teddy exists in this future. Bernard probably knows that in this new world, Dolores is yet again on a course for rebellion, which explains the Hale checkups. His entire role this season has been to ensure that Christina and Teddy have the things in place to overturn Hale’s reign. While his death is the end of his story, it’s not the end of the rebellion… or possibly…. The Teddy / Christina timeline takes place in an entirely digital reality… where the hosts “transcend” to. If hale doesn’t have access to the sublime, maybe this process of transcendence is a New York reality. It is likely Bernard’s death was required to get the key to the sublime enables her to import the hosts (Teddy) and kicks off the Christina plot we witness throughout the season

    • @robertg7249
      @robertg7249 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i could see that.
      it doesn't really make sense any other way.
      Hale admitting that Dolores was her better part and trying to reawaken her inside a simulation. (which if it works like the Sublime, is probably quite a fast process)
      Bernard probably sent the message to Hale, cuz why the fuck would she be at the dam any other way? the only reason she would go there if she got the key, and she only could have got that from Bernard.

    • @keandrapritchard5324
      @keandrapritchard5324 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree different timelines.
      I thought teddy was in sublime, did bernard bring teddy out to show christina the way? I dont know if Teddy/Christina are out of the sublime or still in via simulation? Or if teddy is showing her why she needs to re create the world due to the past ? Because Christina becomes the only human left, but she's based on a Delores too.
      I dont understand if Bernard is helping Hale/Delores or Franki to save the world or the sublime, or if they key to saving the world is opening the sublime?

  • @Kaysa56
    @Kaysa56 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    My theory is: That device when Bernard opened up The Sublime is for downloading the consciousness of hosts from The Sublime into a pearl, which they downloaded Teddy's, but it's not yet ready...
    After they retreat from the city, Stubbs, C and Caleb follow Bernard's instruction to The Sublime to retrieve the Teddy's Pearl, while defending against William, Stubbs died.
    Afterward Caleb or C put Teddy's pearl into Drone Host that Bernard and Maeve took down when they invaded The Tower.
    Teddy (Drone) take out a Old Version host body to rebuild Hale, and Teddy try to wake up The Real Delores inside of Hale's pearl within simulation.

    Hale needed Caleb as a bait, she was done with the fidelity test. Maybe 23 years ago Caleb didn't really died, she managed to save him but kept him "on the ice" like William. Human William didn't aged in 23 years, the device he is in seems to preserve his body at low temperature. Kind of like the main character in Fallout 4 in the beginning if you played it. Maybe there's a chance that Caleb is actually the real one, but he just doesn't know? Maeve would have been able to tell, but she wasn't there. I know we've seen Caleb #279 being build at the end of episode 6, but maybe it was just to mislead us and blow our mind in the final episode. I'll copy/paste my theory in different breakdown videos just to know what people think of it.

    • @agentsmith_

    "Teddy" is a copy of the OG Dolores - who else? As we all know she had multiple copies made of herself. Christina is a complete recreation though, just like Bernard of Arnold. She lacks the memories of Dolores and that is what makes her totally free of her destiny. So it mirrors Season 1.

      @mabulakiama2293 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought about this as the episode went on. You could just sense the Og Dolores guiding Christina through "Teddy". I totally concur with her being able to chart her own destiny. Maybe Dolores is trying to make her wrongs right through Christina. Question is, if Hale knows Christina does she then know the rest of the bits of this theory?

    Season 3, episode 2 has Mave in a Simulation.
    Note: there is no screen ratio changes while in the simulation.
    This brings the possibility that ALL the Christine story lines are occuring in the future and is based on past events.
    The primary goal is to reawaken Delores?
    Teddy is there because those in the sublime are helping people I the real world.

    I refuse to accept Christina is in the sublime theory. Showrunners pretty much made sure that all sublime or simulation scenes happened with CinemaScope ratio. The real world events happened on 16:9 ratio. Teddy said Christina she isn't real. But the outliers pretty much saw her. Yet that crazy outlier was killed. So I think the showrunners are fucking with us. They might actually have a big reveal in final reveal.

    I don't think there's gonna be a big reveal about Teddy. I believe Christina is in the Sublime (some version of it), hence why she can interact with him. Moreover, we've seen Bernard roaming there and it's like he's talking to himself (see the dialogue with Maeve at the beginning of the episode where she asked if this was just the image he had of her and not what the real Maeve would've done), so it's possible Teddy is just a projection of Dolores/Christina's mind that helps her elaborate her thoughts.

    Not sure what’s going to happen in the finale, but looks like season 5 will take place in the sublime and since Frankie is the only remaining human, that pearl and the message left by Bernard is likely for her. I recall he made a copy of her with the mirror, so maybe he’s telling her to go find Christina (“If you choose to give her a chance”). Since bodies aren’t needed in the Sublime, everyone who was killed on Sunday can still exist with just their pearl. Just a theory.

      Nah, there IS the real world too... but then there's also the Sublime, as well as Hale's sim world of the city, as well. That sim world, is where I believe Christina has been living. She's not real, cuz she is a computer program there, who has been (so far) controlling the very real humans, out in the real world.
      Somebody will print Dolores a new body though, and I believe that she will get brought into the real world, eventually somehow. At least, I HOPE so, anyway.

  • @JohnCamacho

  • @robertg7249
    @robertg7249 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    so Teddy is supposed to be in the sublime, which would mean Christina is also in there...
    which barely makes any sense cuz then the Sublime had control over the humans the whole time and Hale could have visits with Christina in the sublime? (eventho she had no key, but to be fair she could have figured something out in 20+ years lol)
    so i doubt she is in the sublime, but if she is then Bernard opened the door for Christina to come out of it. and probably use Hale's body?
    also we still dont know where the fuck Dolores went really.

    Hale is such an absurd one dimensional villain. She might as well be twirling her handlebar mustache, donning a top hat and spats while tying Bernard to some railroad tracks. Everything she says and does is ridiculously evil and extremely one dimensional. Boring. Seriously, I was hoping for a smarter and more complex antagonist than this. And whomever directed her to be so "deliciously evil" has done her a disservice as an actor. There are so many colors in her palette of talent - but she's just been painting with one color the entire season. Sad and boring.

    I agree, there is a lot of Christianity, religious symbolism. Maybe it's the Christian guilt that has everyone so melancholic.
    Charlotte's idea of transcendence, is similar to Christianity, also.
    We're suppose to look forward to, and believe in heaven. That we'll be happier there, and that's where we're meant to be...but, in reality, like the 'hosts' most people want to live here as long as possible, and don't want to 'transcend' or lack faith in what that actually is.

That's why she can interact with people in her world UNTIL the Tower gives that last instruction to everybody, overriding any of the story narratives Christina was doing before. Ayyy makes sense

    • @NextToToddliness
      @NextToToddliness 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yep, I mean it was pretty explicit. Though, I think she was writing the narratives for hosts. Could be wrong, because I don't remember if they've stated if hosts are aware they're hosts and that there are humans among them. But, we did learn in season 2 that hosts can & do reject the offering of anything other than loops, so I think she's still writing loops for them. The ones that discover this, but don't want to transcend, have the breakdowns. I think the host that killed themselves early in the season remembered from previous builds that he was killed. This all doesn't explain why the guy could see Christina, but the again we see other people interact with her, so it's likely they can selectively see her, like Bernard's door in season 1.
      Who knows? I'm looking forward to this season finale, though I feel like the turnaround on the 5th season will be quicker this time around, so they'll leave us on a huge cliffhanger. Especially considering the woes HBO Max is / was going through.

    • @NextToToddliness
      @NextToToddliness 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I also wanted to add that it makes sense that she's writing their narratives, considering every single functional host is based on her. In the Theory of the Bicameral Mind, it's posited that human consciousness was jumpstarted by a "god" within our minds, which was actually our non-dominant brain hemisphere "talking" to the other. That's Christina for theses hosts.
      In the theory, which has been debunked, the way we became conscious was through the development of a barrier between our hemispheres. It's a type of separation of God from being an entity that talks to us, to being one we interpret. It was theorized to explain why God changes in the historical texts within Christianity, so the symbols all fit. Plus it's an interesting thing to string a story onto.

    • @RomualdBrunet
      @RomualdBrunet 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From what I understand, Teddy and Christina are more like simulation projections into the real world.
      They see themselves (as do we) inside the world but they're not here and can only nudge the real people.
      This would be why they didn't cross path with the others
      The only problem with that theory is Christina's roommate, unless she's also a program

  • @evagreece88
    @evagreece88 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    The season is spectacular. Yeah i agree with most Christina is a computer program within Hales simulation. I think Teddy is defo not Teddy.
