@@haydos2072 it's pretty easy to evade Ronins in northstar, all they see is an easy target and usually just go straight forward expecting a tether trap or two. Separate the hallway using cluster munition, even in sword it will hurt quite a bit, then just got back and shoot. If the get too close use viper thrusters to shoot from above, usually can out damage them that way. Also can use viper thrusters and throw a cluster under yourself, they have to choose either block or damage, and if they pick damage (all usually do) Your railgun and cluster together do outstanding damage. Might as well pop a tether so he won't escape

@@WhooshWh0sh That is one way(Irony being that's exactly what the dude in the video tried to do but didn't pull it off very well), another is just let him swing once then you swing inbetween his swings and once you get that first hit if you both keep swinging you'll be locked into the animation where yours hits and his doesn't. Especially effective with titans who don't know how to box. You also won't always have the dash from sword core so these other skills are worth having.
As a part time Ronin main he went about that approach allll wrong, should have phased through your smoke and hit ya with the arc wave as much as he could or disengage entirely and used his speed to flank you

Although it reminds me a bit of a few matches ago, where I (in a Legion with barely one core left on the screen) managed to execute another Legion with around thrice the amount of health left.
I think learning to main ronin is a good lesson on positioning and that movement is key. It also teaches you to explore actual strategy with your titan

Now before the patch that changed titan melee, ronin was objectively the worst melee titan because sword takes a second. But after it, ronin has superior range. Just need to learn to use it
