i would say everything you said is correct aside from the part about how the ball sits. I personally use a low pocket at attack. The problem with this pocket is when you cradle one handed with this, you will have little to no feel of where the ball is in the pocket when you go to release since it is just sitting on the plastic and bottom string. It also will have no hold when two handed cradling and bringing the still back. it's important to always have a channel that the ball can sit in so you have a great feel of where the ball is at all times, low, mid, or high pocket.
