Another problem with AirBnB in Mexico is that often the location on the map is far off. Often it is centered just on the city. By contacting the manager and getting the exact address, you can find the correct location and find out how responsive the manager is to your needs.
One thing we do is when we are in the reviews section of an airbnb place, we search for keywords like "bed", "quiet", "noise"... Any review with a word that we search comes up....so you can save time for whatever is important for you. Cheers.
Thanks for the advice. I just learned the hard way by renting an AirBnB in Paris. The host was gracious and helpful and the photos looked good. I wasn’t told the apartment was on the 4th floor which at my age made returning in the evening a nightmare. Neither did the host tell me that just across the narrow street a 6 floor apartment was under construction raising problems with noise and dirt. There were other problems as well but the host was so nice I left a positive review. I should have told the truth.
I've used Air BnB three times. The first stay was great. The second one was a complete disaster. This renter was a woman that had been violently attacked in the apartment. We showed up to find her useing watered down dish soap to wash the sheets!! She had zero cleaning supplies. The pictures were taken 4 months ago and it was trashed. Food spilt everywhere. Hadn't been cleaned or vacuumed. I spent most of my time buying cleaning supplies and cleaning up other people's hair, food and other filth. The last day I striped the bed looked underneath to find that we were sleeping on the blood soaked bed that she was attacked in! 😯 On the second day we came back to find a card from the detective. Who had stopped off to let her know that the BF how tried to stab her to death was getting out of jail!! . So glad we got out of there. The third time the owner double booked and we were left stranded. At 11:00 PM in a town that had a huge festival. The town was completely booked, except the $350 a night crap hotel. Air BnB refused to help us. So after these experiences I'm over it. Too dangerous. Michael Johnson's daughter was robbed at an Air BnB she's lucky to be alive.
That situation is terrible! I don't blame you for wanting to be done with Airbnb. I can't believe they didn't help you remedy the situation. :/ Airbnb customer support hasn't always been the quickest in our experience, but they've at least helped us resolve any situations that arise.
Thanks for an honest video. As a guest, I have had the unfortunate experience of booking places that were either very dirty or in extremely unsafe neighborhoods. I'm watching your video to learn some tips to avoid having it happen to us again.
Hi, I know I'm late to the party, but I wanted to make a few more suggestions as an airbnb host to ensure you have a nice stay. First, you are permitted (and encouraged) to message the host with any questions you might have before you commit to booking. For instance, if you are allergic to dust or dander, you can ask specifically if they use hypoallergenic bedding or any kind of heavily scented products that might bother you. Or, if stairs present a challenge for you, you can ask if there are any stairs that perhaps aren't pictured. Secondly, check to see how long the host has hosted the property versus the number of reviews they have. If they've been hosting for 4 years and only have a handful of reviews, it's a good bet many of the guests simply didn't leave a review, rather than post a negative one.
You have to leave negative reviews so that you can warn others about the bad experience. You’re not renting an Airbnb for free. You’re paying money to have a good experience
All excellent tips, and most I've used myself. One of my biggest red flags is how a host handles any kind of guest critique. If they are rude, or super confrontational...I look for other negative reviews (sometimes bad guests happen) for the host to see if it's a pattern, then I also look at the reviews that guest has left for other hosts/listings. A little detective work can usually shed light on the situation and determine who the bad actors (if any) are. A host that acknowledges the guest's critiques and either explains (in a non-confrontational way) the situation or states they will implement changes, etc., is a host I feel I can communicate with if anything arises during my stay.
Looking in Costa Rica I saw some cleaning fees as high as double the daily rate... or a cleaning fee of $35 plus a another fee for additional $15 and it doubles the rent for your days of stay... always check those fees because they will screw you...
I have had many great AirBnB experiences around the world but the one time i got worked over was when i had a slight panic finding a place at the last minute and booked a shared room (not private), then learned the bathroom could be shared by 10 others! This listing was set to "strict" by owner which means you cannot get a refund for any reason, you will lose any chargeback you make with your credit card issuer too. Although the lister can refund your money they won't because it's a black mark on them by AirBnB, so i well *never* again accept any strict listings. Just something to be aware of when booking.
One tip to add. I found that it is extremely important to pick the right location. I once rented a lovely apartment on a long-term basis (7-weeks), but I discovered to my horror that it was situated in a rough neighborhood. When I arrived at my destination (Medellin, Colombia), I quickly realized that I had made a mistake. I never had been to this city in my life. I now realize that I should have rented on a short-term basis in order to discover not only if the apartment was appropriate, but also if the wanted to live in this particular area.
I ended up having to sleep in my small rental car in an all night grocery parking lot because of a host canceling. In the states, It is often less expensive to stay in a motel.

I recommend watching this video even you have seen others videos. I am new to Airbnb, haven’t used it yet. I watched couple videos for newbies and thought why watch this? I found out why -because it is excellent and has tips I hadn’t heard yet.
I agree with Maddie that even if the hosts were really nice but the place was not to your liking that you should point it out in your comments. You can always give negative comments on a place while staying polite. It will give them a chance to address the issues and do better for future guests.
A property can be basic and not wow especially if its a budget accommodation but that doesn't mean its necessary to leave a bad review just because you are pretentious, I received a 2Star review on a listing because a guest found a dust bunny under the living room couch 10 days into her stay... 1 out of every 100 guests is an absolute nightmare just like 1 in 100 Airbnb rentals is!
The key is honest reviews. If you find something you don't like just state what it was honestly. People can read the review and decide for themselves if it's something petty or not.
OMG! I've seen airbnb listings with 100 dollars cleaning fee, that's crazy!! good tips guys!! As travelers we need to make sure to leave a good and detailed review about the place because it's always helpful for others and for yourself when you are looking for a good place to stay for few days or longer term
I always reach out to the property owner. You can sometimes see what “vibe” you get from the interaction. Thanks for the video…I love AirBnB’s and I learned some good info.
Thanks for the info. Also one thing to know we booked a place and had a pain experience during a wedding party and when we put a nicely written honest review with highlights and bummers and they took it down..
It's a good idea if you are a host to stay at a few other airbnbs, so you can see what others are doing. I made a list of my favourite restaurants in the area, my hairdresser, directions to the mall, how to work the TV, and so on. It was easy to update and give to my guests. I got fewer questions from guests that way, too.
I’ve traveled all across 30 countries and stayed in youth hostels primarily in earlier years doing so and had a wonderful experience! This info on air bnb is great & very helpful!
Tangerine Travels I’ve been looking for the code. I can’t seem to find it in the comments. I’m probably looking in the wrong place. I’m new to this and have never booked an Airbnb. Please post for me! Thanks
I enjoyed the scenery in Ajijic. We will soon be visiting there for a week - celebrating our 40th anniversary! All your practical tips based on experience are appreciated.
I find airbnb’s in Mexico soooooo expensive! I often book an airbnb for just a couple of nights and then go onto local facebook groups or just walk around the town to find the rental signs outside in the town and they quite often love a short term rental without going through airbnb!
Hi Mind Wandering Traveller! I just came across your comment, and I was wondering if you have experience renting in Valladolid. I'm hoping to go for an extended stay/possible permanent move next year, and it seems like rentals are few and far between in Valladolid, even on the Facebook groups. Any advice is much appreciated! ¡Gracias!
I had a really bad Airbnb experience in Cozumel. I stayed in an apartment for 3 weeks and it was miserable. When I left a 4-star review, the host complained. I had previously stayed in Airbnb’s throughout France, England, and the US with no problem. I live in Mexico and grew up speaking Spanish so there was no communication problem. It was just a really awful Airbnb in Cozumel. I was totally unable to get in touch with Airbnb and they did not respond to my emails through the website. I finally got a response through their Facebook site. But I came to realize that as guests, people get voted down by hosts for giving them negative reviews. Anyway, I have come to realize that in México, good hotels are sometimes as inexpensive as Airbnb. But I wish I had stopped to put together some of your tips more logically.
Me and my wife just sold our stuff and came to Playa Del Carmen. We just become victims of the fake AirBnB. This listing had beautiful photos of a brand new condo. We got there the building looked like trash and neighborhood had garbage everywhere. The elevators didnt work when we arrived and my wife has a disability. She cannot climb 3 fights of stairs. We eventually had to cancel after staying there for a day. I felt like we were scammed by this listing. Great tips and we will use this in our strategy. Werr heading to Meridia next month. Thanks?
You two make Mexico seem like a fantastic place to be. I'm going to retire within the next 3 or 4 years and I'd like to follow in your footsteps. I'll continue to follow you and when the time comes, I hope that you're still around. In the meantime, I'm scheduled to take a Panama relocation tour and see how it is there. It would be great if you two started up something similar in Mexico, eventually. You're doing a good job. Keep up the good work.
@@toddinthemiddle Absolutely! I spent one week in Panamá in December 2019. The bus took us cross country and we stayed at a different location every night. Everyone on the trip is now included in a network of informed people whenever we decide to relocate in Panamá. I'm still considering other countries, but Panamá is at the top of my list. I want to visit Uruguay before I commit. I also have an eye on Ecuador, Mexico and the Philippines, to name a few. 😄
@@toddinthemiddle Should I decide on Panamá, I'll probably live in or around Boquete initially. I want to learn Spanish before going into a more strictly Panamanian neighborhood where housing costs are lower. I'm not a beach person and prefer a higher elevation where it's not so hot. 🤔 As of today, I have 505 days before I plan to retire. 🤗
@@terryashley4674 i looked up boquete, and it looks gorgeous. if i were to leave the U.S., it would to live at the beach, and preferably beachfront. and far as retirement goes, i was about 490 days away from my target, which would have been this last sunday. there was just way too much nonsense going on at work, though, so one morning i made a u-turn on the way there, and that was that. i love not working, and highly recommend it. for now, going back to work is about a last resort for me...right after suicide.
I only stay in places where I have the entire space to myself. Because I want to feel secure and I know I wouldn’t in a shared space. I also (after being cancelled on) only stay with Superhosts.
Totally agree about Super Host n filtering your needs like A/C, parking, WiFi, etc. we’ve only stayed at a small handful of AirBnB’s n it’s been a very SAFE, successful, pleasing n pleasant stay.
Booked my 2nd Airbnb for a trip to Mexico City the end of November. The previous experience was a trip to Monterrey and the place was immaculate. Hope I have the same luck this time around.
Great tips! You guys are the masters of travelling! I always find new things that I didn't even consider when watching your videos. This will definitely help lift my airbnb game 🙏😁
I booked a 5 star in Hawaii with no air-conditioning in August. Airbnb said I should have made sure air-conditioning was checked as an amenity. If it is 80 degrees at night, air-conditioning is a necessity
Great information. Never booked Airbnb but now confident I should. You guys always choose some beautiful backgrounds to shoot your videos. I enjoyed my day trip to Ajiji and Chapala when staying in Guadalajara last year. Lunched on Scorpion Island.
Glad we helped you out with these tips! Airbnb is our go-to for booking rentals, though it is helpful to be armed with these extra "hacks." :) We do our best to keep it bright and colorful in our videos. Thanks for noticing! Sounds like you had some great times at Lake Chapala. Hope you get to make it back soon!
I'm an Airbnb Superhost and do get frustrated when people book a shared room and then get mad cause it's shared. Ugh! Lol. Listen to Maddy and use the filters to exclude shared if it's an issue for you.
100% agree! Although it's partly up to the host to be very clear about these details (I'm sure you are) it's equally as important to filter to your (the traveler's) own preferences so that everyone is happy.
Hi love your great info I want to travel to Mexico this July or august I have two teen boys and a; friend it’s my first time visiting Mexico Pls tell me where I should stay at I am working with 2500 for one week I love your videos 👍👍👍👍❤️
Another tip to save on Airbnb is asking the host of the listing you are interested in to give you a discount. We've done it tones of times, and the hosts normally accept accept the deal.
@@TangerineTravels I can't think of anything else offhand..I never stay anywhere with less than a 4.8 stars..I don't check emails here often so I have forgotten some of the details..love your videos
Thank you for your video! I don't know anything about Mexico and, I'm watching your videos because I want to travel there. Your videos are so thorough! I'm curious. Do you not like staying in hotels or motels in Mexico? Why do you prefer Airbnb? Look forward to watching more of your travels.
Good tips, I agree w their comments about properties with less than 5 stars in all categories. In my experience a property with ratings between 5- 4.9 stars in each category and choosing the Super Host filter does help a lot to get a good experience. Also, not only read the reviews in the first page, go to page 2-3.
I’m never using Airbnb again. I wasn’t allowed on the property by the guards and the host wasn’t answering for 2 hours. I was freaking out thinking I had been swindled. After reaching out to support they told me that there was nothing they could do and to call the host. 😱
I just stayed in one in Tijuana with a $50 cleaning fee, I didn't notice it until after I booked it. To top it off in the rules the host posted that if you don't clean the apartment yourself then he would charge another $50!!! that's basically scamming tourists... In Europe Airbnb was forced to add all taxes and fees and include them in the nightly rate. it's a shame they continue to hide them in other countries
I think you two are awesome! I’m a fifty’s something lady looking to visit and maybe retire to Mexico. We are planning a trip to the Mayan Riviera this coming Spring. I have learned so much from your videos. And if you guys are think you’re weird, then weird on my friends because I’m right there with you!!🥰
Thanks for the Airbnb tips. I'm a newbie to the channel and Airbnb. Just looking for a nice place comfy bed and comforts of home at one in Oklahoma. Cheap price I'll have to go back and read reviews. I don't even think they showed the bed. Maybe will have to go further out and stay in Tulsa. There's a lot "no pets". Even with the super host checked. Good points to follow. Thanks!!! Loving watching you guys go all over Mexico. I've always wanted to go, but didn't know if it was safe to travel alone.
I stayed in a place in Jaco Costa Rica last month from ABB, sounded good on the reviews but I had to admit I would not have stayed if I had known it was going to be the way it was... it was supposed to have hot water 🚿 ... but really had only Luke warm... on the second floor... what they didn’t say was the only way up was via a small spiral staircase almost impossible to haul your suitcases up... it was clean but nothing spectacular... bedroom had a place for a tv, but no tv... only a really small one in living room... also had concrete floors instead of tile or other more modern materials.... I could not say it was awful but only that I would never have rented it if I had known... I didn’t leave a review... not knowing what to say...
thanks for all the tips. I just got back from a short trip to TN and FL My friend booked everything before I even got a chance to tell her about your code.. I still haven't booked anything so I will be sure to use it when i do ! we were fortunate to get great places but your tips do come in handy ..we always travel with our dogs, and that is what slos us down most of the time.
Thanks for holding out to use our code! Win-win for both of us. $40 buys a lot of tamales haha :) Hope these tips end up helping you when you do book! We feel ya on the dog thing. Sometimes having Laska can be a bit of a drag. We love her though :D
Totaly .. one of the dogs is a Pittie so that also doesn't help. but they are our kids so we will work around it . that is why I always say Laska for president ! lol .
Really appreciate all your videos. You guys are great. You bring so much informative, interesting content and in such a fun way. One tip you mentioned was to stay at a place for a short time, and then if it turns out to be good, to extend the booking at that time. How risky would you say that strategy is? For example, if you see what appears to be an excellent place and book several weeks in advance for two days, and then anytime from the date you booked to the end of your second day somebody else can book in the days or weeks after your two days and cause you to lose the option to continue to stay there.
Hi, guys! I'd like to know if you kept your phone service active while in Mexico (U.S. plan)? If so, is it way cheaper than buying a "charge" at the Oxxo? Thanks.
Depending on the location or time of year, it might not be the best deal. But in our experience, it's the best option for finding rentals in Mexico, especially because we aren't familiar with all the new cities we visit. Glad you enjoyed the tips. Thanks for watching!
I booked a 5 star airbnb and after I booked it I looked at it again a few days later and now it's a 4.9. Should I cancel it? It has 11 reviews. How can you confirm where the reviewer lives?
My hostess said I was deliberately giving her rental a bad review so I could get a refund. Then she said I was complaining about the very 1st day. Mildew, bug spray in a closed up home was not a very good 1st day experience. She sends a cleaning lady to clean the place on Saturday, so the garbage was left in the home till then- thus, the bug spray for the next visitor. The hot water was luke warm and the drains in both bathrooms did not drain. After she said she was shocked that I am the only person to leave a bad review, she named called me difficult, and a complainer. AFter listening to your video I knew the people that left 5 star reviews only said how nice the owner was. I was not mean in my comments and actually thanked her for leaving someone else left over beers and a bottle of wine in the frig!
I visited Juarez for. Consulate appointment and I was left on the street by a host that cancelled me last minute. In fact two more hosts cancelled me after that. These host advertise the same property in many more websites with different prices and they confirm to everyone and in the end they give the property to the person that paid the most. Do no stay in Juarez Airbnb while waiting for consulate appointment pay a hotel because is more reliable.
Super host is not necessarily a way to clear bad hosts. I had to leave an apartment by a super host because there were not blankets at the peak of winter and he refused to provide them as well.
Thanks for watching K! We opt for leaving a truthful review because leaving out relevant details might mean someone else has a bad time too. That doesn't really help anyone in our opinion.
There are also a couple of gift card resell sites online that have airbnb cards on them at a slight discount. I've done the same thing for lowes gift cards when I've had a large tool purchase to make and saved an additional 5 - 8%.
We've been in Mexico for almost 8 months now. Perhaps we can do a cost of yearly living here once we hit a year. Thanks for asking! We'll try to keep ya posted.
NEW SUBBIE ! I really appreciate your honesty. My father is from Guadalajara and my mom is from Poland. My last visit to Chápala was when I was 10 yrs old lol. Now that I have kids I would like them to embrace their mexican roots and hopefully visit Guadalajara soon. Thanx guys, have been binge watching since yesterday 😊.
We couldn't live without Airbnb these days. It's our #1 choice for rentals while traveling. Hope you enjoy it more with these tips. Don't forget to sign up with our link for $40 off :)
You hit the nail on the head with this one! I will add that even with a Superhost you have to be careful but the trick is to be honest with your reviews and don’t just hand out 5 stars if it’s not deserved. I actually had one Airbnb user friend say to me that they were afraid to leave a less than perfect review because they thought that the host would give them a bad review and they would look like a “bad renter” as a result and therefore be declined from future rental inquiries. I hope that’s not true! In either case always be honest so that your fellow travelers can benefit from your review.
I'm afraid that IS true - I've stayed at loads of airBnBs but had a really bad experience at one and left a bad (but completely factual) review. After that, I had trouble booking another flat; places would look available and I would apply to stay in them, only to have the host turn me down for no reason. I'm sure that a lot prospective hosts read the reviews that you leave for other places and label you as "difficult" if you've made any complaints, no matter how justified.
When u rent an airbnb and have a passport do u take it with u or do u leave it at the place u rented? Traveling to mexico in august rented an airbmb and not sure what to do
mayra perez Never leave your valuables unattended. Bring it with you, and keep it somewhere safe :) look into travel money belts and tuck it under your clothes
great stuff and you guys are so funny really do appreciate all of the great advice and you do make me feel so much better about going to Mexico and exploring all of the amazing culture!
I´d rate comfort on value. If it´s not comfortable then the value drops, it is not worth my money or the money I spent was more than I would've expected, I don`t mind pricey places from time to time, the experience of a great place is totally worth it from time to time, but sometimes, it is not that it is pricey, it just feels that way whether it is because of a shitty place, far from everything, or it is on a not so safe location .... anyway I usually try book places that have good reviews on the place not so much of the owner/manager. I don´t want to sound like a jerk, but the place itself and it`s location is the only thing that matters in my book.
Totally feel you on these things! You're right... comfort is very closely related to value. If you're playing $10/night for a place, maybe it's understandable that it's not so comfortable or great. But $30/night would be a terrible value for a dirty room and an uncomfortable bed. Location is also important to us as well!
If the host wants to communicate off site, it's a red flag. Same goes if they don't want to tell you the address after you have booked. It's a good idea to touch base with the host after booking to make sure you get a normal-sounding response. If there's a problem, contact customer service right away.
I can't believe you have more than 23k subscribers! congrats Tangerine travels! I remember when you had less than 1000. Good job in your videos. The quality and content is superb!

As travelers we need to make sure to leave a good and detailed review about the place because it's always helpful for others and for yourself when you are looking for a good place to stay for few days or longer term
seriously? Who's going to clean a place for 15.00 dollars? I wouldn't. I think they are wrong on this one.
Thank you for your tips so I can improve my hosting to give my guest the best stay as possible.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the air B&B discount. We used it for our trip to Ajijic in January!
So glad you were able to get the discount for your trip! Thank you so much for using our code, Viv!
Tangerine Travels I’ve been looking for the code. I can’t seem to find it in the comments. I’m probably looking in the wrong place. I’m new to this and have never booked an Airbnb. Please post for me! Thanks
@@TanyainTx Here it is: abnb.me/e/yML8JvquLU
@@TangerineTravels all that does is take me to the website, how could I use the code?
I enjoyed the scenery in Ajijic. We will soon be visiting there for a week - celebrating our 40th anniversary! All your practical tips based on experience are appreciated.
I love how a car honked right after Jordan said "red Flags."
This was very helpful guys. Thank you.
I prefer staying at hotels. Airbnb is usually too much hassle.
Hotel reviews are more accurate
Me and my wife just sold our stuff and came to Playa Del Carmen. We just become victims of the fake AirBnB. This listing had beautiful photos of a brand new condo. We got there the building looked like trash and neighborhood had garbage everywhere. The elevators didnt work when we arrived and my wife has a disability. She cannot climb 3 fights of stairs. We eventually had to cancel after staying there for a day. I felt like we were scammed by this listing. Great tips and we will use this in our strategy. Werr heading to Meridia next month. Thanks?
Thank you so much guys. That was very helpful. Saludos from Guadalajara
Another great video. Thanks for the great tips.
Keep up the good work.
did you make it to panama?
@@toddinthemiddle Absolutely! I spent one week in Panamá in December 2019. The bus took us cross country and we stayed at a different location every night. Everyone on the trip is now included in a network of informed people whenever we decide to relocate in Panamá. I'm still considering other countries, but Panamá is at the top of my list. I want to visit Uruguay before I commit. I also have an eye on Ecuador, Mexico and the Philippines, to name a few. 😄
@@terryashley4674 well, with so many choices, hopefully the decision makes itself for you.
what are of panama are you considering?
Thanks your guys, super helpful.I'm an older woman. Never used Airbnb before. I'll get my daughter to help me with all these discounts and coupons.
Oh fun! Glad you had a good experience in Monterrey. You're a pretty savvy guy, so I'm sure you picked another good one! :D
Where did you stay in Monterrey? I'm looking to go there?
Good evening. Thanks for the tips.
Great tips! You guys are the masters of travelling! I always find new things that I didn't even consider when watching your videos. This will definitely help lift my airbnb game 🙏😁
Thanks for your tips guys, also thank you for the Airbnb credit I signed up with your code, safe travels.
i just binged wateched your channel for 2 hours.... and i subscribed and ""gong(ed) that gong"!! :D keep up the excellent work!
I booked a 5 star in Hawaii with no air-conditioning in August. Airbnb said I should have made sure air-conditioning was checked as an amenity. If it is 80 degrees at night, air-conditioning is a necessity
Thanks for the advice guys much appreciated and i hope your travels are awesome 😎
Hi love your great info I want to travel to Mexico this July or august I have two teen boys and a; friend it’s my first time visiting Mexico
Pls tell me where I should stay at I am working with 2500 for one week I love your videos 👍👍👍👍❤️
Another tip to save on Airbnb is asking the host of the listing you are interested in to give you a discount. We've done it tones of times, and the hosts normally accept accept the deal.
Appreciate if you can list the AirBnB places where you have personally stayed and you were happy. Thanks.
Can you use air bnb to film videos for your TH-cam channel?
Good tips and accurate! From a long term superhost and world traveler
Thanks for backing us up, David! Would you add anything that we didn't mention?
@@TangerineTravels I can't think of anything else offhand..I never stay anywhere with less than a 4.8 stars..I don't check emails here often so I have forgotten some of the details..love your videos
Went to link to get supposed discount code and did not receive anything .i wish to book later this week so how do I do this to get discount
It will only work if you're a new Airbnb user and you sign up after clicking on the link.
Does the discount link work if I'm from Canada?
And if you guys are think you’re weird, then weird on my friends because I’m right there with you!!🥰
I need to know specific things about it
Thanks for the Airbnb tips.
I vote your video’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! You guy’s rock and keep up the good work.
When u book u get charge right away or till the day i check in?
Hi! I love your videos and Im looking forward to visiting the Lake Chapala area.
However, I don't see the code for AirBnB discount. Help!
Totaly .. one of the dogs is a Pittie so that also doesn't help. but they are our kids so we will work around it . that is why I always say Laska for president ! lol .
Wow I learned so much regarding booking at Airbnb, Thank you both
Really appreciate all your videos.
Thanks.
Yes any information or tips here would be so appreciated!
Cricket, metro pcs and simple mobile all roam in Mexico free including data..no problems
I never used airBnb simply because I never found good deals and I just didn't trust it! Good tips!
I also had a miserable hostess. There was a ton of hair in the tub and the kitchen floor was dirty and sticky. Fortunately Airbnb helped!
Great video guys🤠🍹
I agree-just tell the truth about the rental when you leave a review, and comfort should be an option!
Thanks for watching K! We opt for leaving a truthful review because leaving out relevant details might mean someone else has a bad time too. That doesn't really help anyone in our opinion.
This was an extremely helpful video, thanks! I enjoyed bumping into you two on the street as well! Vaya con Dios!
There are also a couple of gift card resell sites online that have airbnb cards on them at a slight discount. I've done the same thing for lowes gift cards when I've had a large tool purchase to make and saved an additional 5 - 8%.

Thank you for educating and sharing!
When u rent an airbnb and have a passport do u take it with u or do u leave it at the place u rented? Traveling to mexico in august rented an airbmb and not sure what to do

Do AirBnB hosts rate their tenants too, like Uber does?
Yes, and if you write an honest review, they will say you were a difficult guest.
Tip for better vlogging! Consider purchasing a deadcat for your microphone to avoid all the wind noise.
Totally! We’ve since bought an external mic with a dead cat and our audio has improved a lot
Great tips ! I’m definitely going to use them on future travels!
We had to learn most of these the hard way. Thanks for watching, Shirley!
We did a road trip from Alaska to Orange Co in 2017. I know.
Very helpful, Thanks!

Muchas gracias por la revision. Esto nos ayudará con los viajes. Es genial ver los videos nuevos. He estado ocupado aprendiendo español.
If the host wants to communicate off site, it's a red flag. Same goes if they don't want to tell you the address after you have booked. It's a good idea to touch base with the host after booking to make sure you get a normal-sounding response. If there's a problem, contact customer service right away.
What’s reasonable for one month for a Canadian ? Thanks:)
