building in the sims 4 was soooo easy compared to the sims 3! when i switched games i was so lucky to come across your channel.... your builds are such an inspiration to me & this playlist has been so helpful! thank you so much !!!!! :D

I find sims 4 crashes more than sims 3
(2 years after this was commented I know) for me I find that sims 3 has been crashing more then sims 4
I KNOW!! SO TRUE!
Players that didn't grow up with sims 3 would say other wise. But me, (Someone who grew up with sims 3) I think that sims 4 was a mess to begin with. The packs are getting messier (We had pets then another pack for pets. They should have puts them into one pack), they removed the color wheel (We can omly use it for pets), Mermaids are useless (No morr utopia or resorts), and it just really sucks. I prefer 3.

You should use constrainFloorElevation. Powerful and very useful. You can make attached car garages, which were actually very important in the Sims 2, because Sims could drive inside the garage. Sims 3 Sims don’t need attached garages simply because Sims don’t have the getting inside or outside the vehicle animations anymore.
You can also make split-level staircases and split-level homes with the ConstrainFloorElevation cheat.
However, the walls will warp so you may try a solid-color wall paint for coating.
Yes it really is such a useful tool! In episode 3 of this series, I show how to use CFE to make a connected garage ☺️ I also talk about what kind of siding/wallpaper to use to hide the warping. Thanks for watching! 💖

Girl Meets Pixels I know I'm late.lol. But can u do a video on how to start the sims ? On the disc because I had mine since April and when ever I put the disc into the monitor it just takes me to my folder library. Is it normal?am I suppose do something after that? Can u pls help it would mean the world to me!
Nayely Speed Art hey you need to make an origin account! Then your sims file will show on the account and then you will see a play button then your done and the sims will start loading :) hope this helps xo

I’ve been playing The Sims 3 Xbox 360 since 2016 thanks to my sister, but then in late 2020 the disc stopped working. Just yesterday, I got The Sims 3 Pets Xbox 360, and I’m having so much fun again! I wanted to build a really nice house for my 2 sims and 2 puppies, so thanks 💖💖

A few years since this was uploaded BUT it is realistic to have the front door/Foundation close to the road (Looking at my own house which is like a 3 bedroom one bath setup (except the third bedroom is sort of like its own thing upstairs with another room so it could technically be used as an apartment sort of thing) the road is only barely a cars width away from the living room wall (Though my house is old)
you probably should have used constrainfloorelevation false to connect the garage to the foundation just saying

We literally build the same way. except I didn't know there was a floorplan website which will help a lot. I just usually look up houses online, copy the exterior and make my own floorplan. You're a life saver 😂
Yeah, I do that sometimes too! I just find that this way is a lot easier to follow & I can adjust the house to my liking much easier! ♥

I love your ambition and creativity! I am currently following along with what you're doing, but I have a question: how do you keep the entire building lit on the inside without any lighting? Whenever I build with closed walls, the inside is very dark and makes it harder to see what I'm doing.

This may be a silly question but I am following you in this building and I picked the same lot as you in the same world. However the trees surrounding the lot are casting a shadow covering nearly the full lot and I was wondering which settings could change this or if it is something else like a light mod? Aw, thank you so much!! I'm not sure why that would be happening. I don't use lighting mods anymore, so I'm not sure what would be causing that. Have you messed around with your graphics settings in game? Maybe the shadows or some kind of random detail setting is off? I'm sorry I can't be of much help! I hope you can get it figured out! ♥

What do you use to put the designs on graph paper? is it a certain site or do you draw it on there? That would help a lot. Btw I love your channel so much. :).
I used to just draw it by hand onto graph paper, but I'm sure there's sites where you could do that too! And thank you so much!! ♥♥

how do you get the length x width of the building?
What packs do you have and what would you recommend for a first time sims 3 player? I started playing the sims 4 but I'm thinking of getting the sims 3 as well because it seems to have a bit more.
I know I'm not Girl Meets Pixels but I have played the Sims 3 for three years, and I once had every expansion. I recommend University Life or Generations to start. They have great content.

I think so! I don't build too often in the Sims 4, but if I did, I would do it the same as I do in the Sims 3 ♥

i downloaded that stuff but how do ik if its actually on the sims game without having to start up the game.
If it's placed in your Mods folder & all the files are in .package form, then it should be in your game. You'll eventually have to check them in game of course to double check though ♥
So I might start playing the sims 3 on pc and I know nothing about how to play it on pc. So I needed this.

I just want to know why your mind didn't automatically draw a correlation between the house measurements provided, and the tile measurements you came up with...
Because converting real life floor plans into a game don't really relate & it can take some tweaking of the floor plan to get it just right. Especially since each floor plan is different & unique with their measurements ♥
