I love your paper hallway. Top tip: Cut matching pattern sections from leftover paper/lino and use to cover cheap mug coasters or bespoke shaped pieces of thick corrugated cardboard. Place under the heavy furniture feet with the pattern matching to the section of floor where furniture sits. Make a set of spares so that when coaster begins to wear, or punctures, you can replace quickly to protect paper flooring.

Professional painters varnish floors 3-5 times(!!!). Congrats on the book.

Um what an amazing idea!? I've just decided to stop living in this beige and brown drab rented flat the way it is and oh my gosh was I not ready for the amount of decorating that is possible. Thank you so much!

I actually think that putting that paper down protected the flooring against any further wear and tear over the last two years, it deffo didn’t damage it!
I’m going to give this a go in the bathroom over the lino that’s in there already. Now to find a wallpaper I like! 🤞🏼

I was thinking of doing this today. I flooring I want is blue and white and they don't make it. I don't want ceramic tile. I have a Moroccan theme with blue and white as the emphasis colors. Looks very crisp clean and bright with some warm up tones in copper range.

Great idea!! I would strongly encourage you to invest the expense in pulling up that old flooring. The way it moved just when you were pulling up the wallpaper shows that there is water damage which probably means mold issues which is very dangerous to your health.
