It must be hard to leave such a well loved home. The red chairs with the rug are my favorite. No rug in the kitchen. My humble opinion. It will be fun to see what you plan to do with your new home.
I have seen a photograph of a dining room/library, very cozy. You could put the table in the center of your library. Shelves are done and you already have a rug in there. When not in use for dining, the table becomes a library table, a place to put your books and read.
I ❤ what you have done to stage your home. The basement transformation is such a huge improvement. It gave me so many ideas to do my ugly basement. I would find it hard to leave after putting so much work into your home.
You have done an amazing job in staging. Very clean, organized and cohesive. Just lovely. As for the dining room carpet I would humbly suggest “no”. The flooring gives the illusion of greater space so I think i have to side with your husband on this one. :)
You did a fine job of getting your house ready for sale. It's tasteful and beautiful. I hope it sells quickly and you reap the benefits of all your hard work. Enjoyed!
Gosh Everything looks great. The basement is really nice, I can see why you will hate leaving that behind. By far the little library sitting room is my favorite. It is so cozy and who would not love to have that space in their home !! everything looks great Lindsay, good job. If I was living in that home, I would definitely put a rug under the Eat in kitchen table, but I agree with your husband, for the sale…. you know, less is more. Good luck with you sale. 😊
I must say everything you do is done beautifully, very talented. I'm getting a lot of ideas from you, thank you very much! Love your videos much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸💖
Just noticed your channel today. I think you’ve done a wonderful job! I know how it feels when remodeling a home and in the middle of it you sell. Every little project gets done then it’s so difficult to leave. Been there done that. The last house I sold the realtor said I needed to Declutter, the only thing I removed was my wedding picture and then tidied up a “little extra”. The first person who saw my home bought it and she wanted everything in the kitchen, master bedroom, and the guest bedroom. Pictures on the wall, curtains, furniture, knickknacks, everything! Occasionally they really like your stuff. Lol
Well Judy I have had a hard time decluttering, Ive always said you get a feel for the house so it doesnt matter what you do people love it or not, I would say you are proof of that.
The staging is terrific! Truly a great job! I love the staging on the library shelves....really on all the surfaces...you have a great eye. I would just try the rug under the table for a look-see if it isn't too much trouble....l think a rug might really ground the table and give more emphasis to the eating area. I think the plates in the dish rack over the sink might look better if you flipped the dishes so the blue & white pattern shows. Good luck with the sale of your home. It should go fast!
It is just my opinion but in my last home I used an outdoor sisal rug under a kitchen table and it worked quite well. It looked lovely and I think it was needed in the space. So I think yes it could be a great addition.
The 2 little cannisters, are just superb for decorating... well done! I'm impressed by the way you matched the print around around one of the cannisters.... a little care goes a long way.
Ms. Lindsey, you have inspired me with your awesome talent! I bought a beautiful fieldstone home built in 1920. It reminds me of a country French cottage. You did an amazing job on your home! I also have a room that if, it was more than just me and my two kitties who allow me to live with them, this room would have been my formal dining room. It is now known as my "library/crafting room". I picked up a few of those French chairs which I am in the process of making over. Yours are so beautiful. I also now plan on redoing my basement. I look forward to seeing more of your videos and seeing what you do to your new home. I wish you well in your search. It took me 2 years to find my home.
What nice staging from top to bottom! You're a very gifted decorator using old and used items without spending much. I've taken ideas from you. What a job it will be to have to pack up so much. You have a nice roomy home. Can't wait to see what you will do to your bee place! Dee, long Island, ny
It is hard to take yourself out of a house. You've done a wonderful job! I don't think you need a rug under the table. It would chop the space up and right now it looks very spacious and flows nicely to the next space.
Yes to the rug, it will separate the space visually ,it designate it as an eating area apart from the kitchen . Most designers agree on this technique.
You've done a great job of getting your home ready to sell, Lynsey! I love the sofa and navy blues in the living room, and the chairs in the master are beautiful. If you already have a rug for the dining room, it wouldn't hurt to try it and see what you think. Take pictures with the rug and without and post them. You know we'd give you our opinions 😉.
Hi Lynsey., well the house looks like a show home I think you're rather good at staging! It looks like the squire will walk in any minute! Lol... The furniture is inspired bet you were all tufted out after the couch I can imagine laying in bed under the eaves during a rain storm feeling so comfy and cosy! I would add the rug but hubby is right they'll be looking at the lovely wooden floor I'm like you I can start with a blank room and just keep on going til it's perfect and everywhere you look there's something interesting to see ! You're a house proud gal where ever you live ...what an adventure ahead of you! Love susan in London Ontario
Yes yes by all means a little rug I think it would just make a little cozy atmosphere under the table I've been watching your lovely videos and I didn't know just where you were located whether you were in the States or elsewhere good luck with everything and keep us informed as to where you're going
Love all that you have done. you are quite talented. can't wait to see what you do to your next place. PS i think a rug would look good, but make it look smaller.
For selling purposes I would not put a rug under the table in the kitchen. It makes the room look larger without a rug. The rug would make it draw in and cozy. If you planned to stay there I would put a rug down.
I really enjoy it your tour. I love thrifting and I shop in charity shops, but in my city there not so much to chose from. All of my items at my home like yours 2nd hand and I have repaint it my self. Greetings from Australia 🎈🎈
I agree, it is quite hard to stage a house when all you want to do is make it look pretty and other people are telling you to Declutter. Try a rug under the table if you already have one don’t spend any money on it as when you move into your New house it might not work XX
..... I feel a rug under the kitchen table would " ground the space " and make it feel cosier... also, I think the chair backs aren't tall enough, but that's just an observation. Your home is such a lovely space, overall .... I'm sure there's things you will miss, no doubt. The canister set, so cute....what an amazing job on that sofa. Wow. Thank you for the tour, ..I adore the Fireplace in the MB, where is it from (?) So charming.
Well, until you mentioned it I hadn't noticed, lol. I did find 3 higher backed Colonial style chairs but figured I would look for higher backs when I move. Thanks for the tip.
@Lynsey’s Recycled Bliss ...oh, how great that you understood I wasn't being ' critical ". I only noticed that due to the scale of other items in the room. I think high back chairs always look good, and sort of " balance " things. :). Im sure youll find the ones meant to be used ,after you move . So kind of you to reply. ... thank you .
Hello Lynsey - It's been 10 months since you posted this video, but I wanted to answer your question about my opinion about putting a rug in the kitchen area under the table. And my answer and opinion is yes. I would putt a small round blue rug under the table. Although the wooden floor is very nice, the white table is a little plain for the area and I think that a blue rug would give that small area a little lift in color. I'm assuming also that you have already sold the house, which probably makes my comment mute. But I wanted to let you know that I am very enjoying watching you flip these small items as I am a very creative person and enjoy refurbishing furnished, tables, and whatever. I found your voice and European (English French) decorations a joy as I am American but have both English and French and German heritage. Hope you are doing well in your new dwelling.
Thanks so much, you will be happy o know I did put a rug under the table and indeed I have done the same in the current home. And you where absolutely right it gives the area a lift of colour. Thanks again for your lovely comments I’m so happy you are enjoying the videos 💕
No for the rug, b/c it can be a tripping hazard and as AN N pointed out, the rug stops the eye and shrinks the perception of floor space. Everything looks wonderful though, like a cozy home.
Don’t put a rug under the little meals table. It make the room look smaller and busier and will chop up the look of the lovely timber floor. It looks great as it is.
Beautiful. Do you have a video about reupholstering furniture? I have a great 1920s loveseat that needs it, but I'm afraid to touch it and ruin it. Thanks.
I think I got more positive feedback for a rug, so a rug it is. We haven't got a new house yet, we are going to rent for a while till we decide what to do. Always wanted a place in France!!
No rug needed under the table and chairs... hubby is right on this one. If you both change your mind on this, a circular one would be the way to go. But leave for now.
Does your new house have a basement that you can re-do to fit your needs? I sold my big house about 2 years ago and from a personal standpoint it was a huge mistake.
Well Bonnie, I really loved that house and this rental is lovely but its a big adjustment. The house we where going to buy has fallen through and that’s very disappointing, we actually thought of renting a bigger place when we lost the new house. But even though we are a bit cramped we are going to stick it out and wait for another house to present itself 🙏 ❤️
Are you selling this house? I would love that house! You have absolutely staged it beautifully or is that your house I can't imagine moving out of it if it's yours lol all I can say is wow! Much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸💖
Hi Jackie, Yes the house sold and we are going to rent for a couple of months till the next property is ready (fingers crossed) looking forward to a big new adventure ; )
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 where are you moving to? Is it in the same area but a different house? Besides the one that you're going to rent for a couple months have you spotted a new house?
I’m with you, I love stuff! It’s how you show your personality.
Love everything! ❤️💕💖 I think a round rug that's blue and white under the kitchen table would be a good idea.
No rug, stops the eye, making room look smaller.
Everything looks so beautiful!!!
No rug to keep it simple.
It is all fab…hope it sells fast for U!
I love how you staged your home. It turned out beautifully!
It must be hard to leave such a well loved home. The red chairs with the rug are my favorite. No rug in the kitchen. My humble opinion. It will be fun to see what you plan to do with your new home.
We just found a rental property, to give us time to think about what we want. Ready to start our new adventure.

Well Karla, I said the same thing, worked so hard to finish all those little jobs only to leave it all behind. ;(
I loved all the flips. Thanks for sharing. Love love love French country . 🙏🏽⚜️🦋💙⚜️🦋💙⚜️🦋💙
Me too!! I just keep coming back to it.
You have done an amazing job in staging. Very clean, organized and cohesive. Just lovely. As for the dining room carpet I would humbly suggest “no”. The flooring gives the illusion of greater space so I think i have to side with your husband on this one. :)
Thanks so much! 😊 He loves it when he is right lol

Thanks Kim, I have actually got a couple of previous videos where I reupholstered a chair or too. I will have a recap in my next video .
Beautiful flips!
Thank you!
You've done a great job with changes. I would not use rug under breakfast table.
No kitchen rug it will close the kitchen nook and since buyers will be walking around you will have more to clean.
No rug under little tables. It’s beautiful.
