I understand a lot of people don't pay attention to lyrics like I do, focusing more on the music. All good, but I worry about the souls and salvation of those both missing or celebrating the verse lyrics, which are definitely conflicting with Christianity. Christ said to the apostle Thomas, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me." - John 14:6. Remember that Christ spent a significant amount of His time with non-believers, as well as the oppressed and outcasts of society. His purpose on earth was to teach loving one another and offer eternal salvation to ALL mankind. The next life lasts a lot longer than this one on earth. Take heart and while you're getting up and standing up for your rights in this wicked world, choose your spiritual allegiance carefully, my brothers and sisters. I have a strong feeling MLK would have urged you to do the same.
