SAP Movement Types | Movement Types In SAP MM | Movement Type Configuration In SAP MM

SAP Movement types are used to specify the type of goods movements. Whether the movement is a stock transfer, transfer posting, etc. The movement type is a three-digit key. For example, 101 is used to post goods receipt, 201 is used for consumption for cost center, etc.

I dont think we can edit.sap does not recommend to change standard mvt types..hence sap suggests to copy of we want to create new mvt types

One can copy the standard mvt. types defined. System recommends to use the settings which are defined in the standard mvt.type. .Movement types are very important control function hence utmost care has to be maintain
