Seemed a good idea to do the trip from Margate to Reculver with you. Super travel. Nice sunny day to. Have not been on the Thanet Way for sometime now, so made a change. The views from Reculver were great. Thanks Tudor for your narrative, as always appreciated.

On the straight bit of road from St Nicholas to the Northstream turning I once did 133 mph in an E Type Jaguar, happy days.
An episode of Only Fools and Horses was filmed in the Large pub near the Windmill. “ Jolly Boys Day Out”

I've lived in Thanet for 24 years, I now realise I have yet to visit Reculver. Need to put that right some day, and soon!

I believe some renovations have been taking place on the towers.

Oh Tudor! The Margate railway station roundabout ☺ you were in the wrong lane. That lane is a return towards the Turner Contemporary. Should've kept to the left lane 😉 I tried telling you but you didn't hear me 🤣🤣🤣
Don't worry, I've done the same thing often enough and as you know I'm a local 😉😉
At least you heard me say take the left turn off the A299 for Reculver ☺ A good journey, had hoped you might go to the towers.

There you go - not infallible 🤣 thanks for the tip 👍
I’m glad you told me to turn off at the slip road on the A299 though 😊

I disagree, I use this roundabout almost daily and nearly always take the right lane on entry then move to the left lane (whilst indicating) as I go past the station exit. It is poorly presented to road users, but thankfully accidents are very rare.
