Tildas entire career is fascinating. She has had the luxury of picking great and divergent roles and when I see her name I will always check out the film. I have NEVER been disappointed!! BRAVO 👏👏👏
In 2007, while traveling home to my mother in southern California, my Viennese boyfriend flew to join me in January, and while in a horrendous line going through customs, he discovered he was only around 15 people away from Tilda Swinton. He ended up being close enough to hear her describe her reason for traveling to the US. To the answer "business or pleasure?" she responded, "I don't know yet, it depends if I win at the Oscars... though it will be pleasurable to win, I guess then it will officially be business." That made his long wait well worth it. I've always been a huge fan, but this interview was marvelous.
Tilda Swinton was in an extraordinary movie called Orlando. An unusual and compelling movie in which Tilda's character changed timelines and gender. Her performance was amazing.
Her line reading of “you don’t want the money?” at the end of Michael Clayton is one of the best pieces of acting I’ve ever seen. A woman whose house of cards has finally fallen apart and all that’s left in her is feebly mustered pleadings. Amazing performance.
I have been a die-hard Pedro Almodovar fan since I worked at a theater showing Law of Desire, Matador and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! back in the 80's-90's and haven't stopped. Can't' wait to see what Tilda and Julianne bring to the table!
Agree. I was so bothered by that movie for weeks. Just the thought of having a child like that and no one else understanding or BELIEVING me. 😭Tilda was so convincing in her role that I was physically exhausted by the end.
@@JD-tf1kn "Orlando" was the first of Tilda's films I saw at my University filmboard and it was a while until I saw another but I've seen nearly every since!
Tilda a true chameleon. Hilariously snide in Burn After Reading, underused as the Ancient One in the MCU. Also great in Julia as an American bartering a Mexican child with a cartel (a mom favorite). Almodovar hit-or-miss (Pain and Glory was mostly Antonio smoking hash, but Talk To Her one of the most powerful, haunting movies you'll ever see). Probably skip this one, but with Moore should be a master class 🎉🎉

Pedro Almodóvar, Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore??? Holy cow. Sign me up.

She has a very sharp sense of style. I love when she does comedy.
Great actress. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
She is an incredible actor!
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!! Not being like others is a gift, and you're not in the mainstream media all the time,......so for that good on ya/!!
My fascination for Tilda Swinton is matched only by my fascination for David Bowie⚡
Striking woman. Loved her performance in “We Need To Talk About Kevin.”

Have watched every season on Amazon Prime and loved it. Will def miss this great show. Cheers from NYC, Brenda and Vera cast & crew!
She is gorgeous and very talented! I love her sweater dress, too!
Loved her since she was in Derek Jarman's films & Orlando.

She was very underrated in The Beach (2000) acting opposite Leonardo DiCaprio
Tilda was great in "The Dead Don't Die" Jim Jarmusch 2019 Also "Constantine" in 2005
Also great in” We Need To Talk About Kevin.”
@@rantoolio if you haven't checked out "only two lovers left behind" you should!
One of my favorites is Orlando. I read the book first and found her interpretation to be absolutely stunning.
@@IntriguedLioness Great flick! Loved it!
I loved her as the white witch.
I remember her from The Chronicles of Narnia the lion the witch and the wardrobe and young Adam and of course the beach
Same, her performance as the White Witch was iconic.
Such an amazing actress. I've loved her ever since I saw Orlando the first time. She's done so many great movies since.
"A Bigger Splash" where the island of Pantelleria almost eclipsed the cast, but Swinton held her own.

Burn After Reading was incredibly funny and Tilda was wonderful!
She was funny with Keanu Reeves
❤️
Cool accent.
???
If you've never seen The Deep End, watch it. She is smazing as a frantic mother trying to protect her son.
She is a chameleon. Tilda disappears. Had no idea she has made 80 films.
