Last week I was wondering if I should make an appointment with my doctor because my posture had changed so dramatically I thought something was wrong. It wasn't uncomfortable, just weird/foreign. I was walking with my shoulders way back and my chest puffed out. Now I know those lower trap exercises are paying off and I've saved myself a trip to the doc!
      Thanks Jeff :)

      Hi guys!
Does anyone have any sort of exercises at gym/home that can target the Transverse Abdominis?
I am working to get a flat belly and even though I try to breathe properly my TA is unable to keep my stomach in during any ab exercise.
Plz help as I am a beginner. Thanks.

The more you do something over and over, the better you memorize and internalize it
Then the more you gather info around the subject, the better you’ll get at treating stuff from outside the box while being highly efficient

Movere Ergo Sum Well no as a chiropractor the most effective treatment of not just forward head carriage but most ailments are correction and educating your clients to sustain that adjustment on there own. Especially when you consider such posture leads to a host of issues like diabetes as the pull on the brain stem reduces nerve supply to every organ in the body so the importance cannot be overstated. I guess it comes down to the individuals morals and ethics I for one cannot justify fixing apart of a problem and remaining silent on the others, the Irony in my experience is when you're honest and legitimately care for each person who walks through the door as if it were yourself (that is when we see breakthrough in both health and relationship) people keep coming back on their own.

      Hello,
Glad to read in your comment that you are feeling better after reducing meds and/or altering your diet.
I haven’t had near the number of concusses, instead have been hit by a car while on my bicycle, then bucked off a spooked horse while he was running up steep trail path and rolled quite a ways down, and then rear ended by a 41’ Motorhome while I was stopped at a red light (jaws of life, temp paralysis).
I’ve been off/on way too many meds over time, dealt w/chronic pain & headaches, dealt with Trigeminal Neuralgia (aka the suicide disease), and walked with a cane for years. I also said NO to brain surgery, and then found a new Primary Care Physician - Best decision ever!!!
Like you, I started changing my foods then incorporating natural herbs, supplements to my diet which helped me feel physically better than almost any of the meds I was taking!!! I don’t use a cane anymore either.
People are skeptical when I tell them how I recovered from most of the chronic pain I’d dealt with for about 20 years just by changing foods and diet. It’s amazing.
That said, I’m still working on short term memory issues and occasional depression (2020 issues didn’t help with that).
Any suggestions for improving short term memory issues?
Thank YOU for serving in the Military!

Same here. I've had it all my life. The first time I became aware was in 1999 when I saw a video of us in ROTC marching. Just the other day I was filming a video for a how-to on something and was reminded I still have it. Jeff definitely has some telepathic magic, or he sees it enough regularly. When I use perfect form and correct posture in the mirror at the gym it makes a night and day difference in my workout and the way I appear, but I am aware as soon as I step away it will kick back in subconsciously. I do a modified version of the face pulls since the cable machines tend to be always busy. I get on one of those stationary back-extension stations and just pull a 45lb plate to my face, but I'm obviously not going back far enough. I haven't been doing those rubber band abduction pulls since the first time I saw that video. Maybe I'll start doing that and the bench thing as well, although I might be a bit too self conscious about using a bench just for that.

So happy for this and the other posture video here. I was once told I walk leaning forward a little, so I think I'm realizing I have a lot of these issues. 3x a day would be tough, but I'll at least try to incorporate them more regularly. Never hurts to look taller and open up the chest when you're walking around.

Do you think mental health has an impact on posture? I didn’t have bad posture before I went through the hardest years of my life. I spent years with my head down. I’ve worked hard to defeat the demons that I was battling but now I’m left with an embarrassing posture. I recently noticed my bad posture after I was mocked by an externally beautiful woman....thanks for the help Jeff.

Do you lean back when doing face pulls? Jeff has never talked about the lower body during face pulls.

    • @peretternavn8287
      @peretternavn8287 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@ramirezt.649 It`s corrective, so it`s not supposed to be heavy weight (if that`s why you`re leaning back.) Otherwise a change in angle will just hit the muscles in a different way. If you do them sitting from where you do the lat pulldowns, you could involve the upper traps to a higher degree (if you wanted to do more weight). Note that he also has another version on Instagram where he`s lying on the floor. If you`re curious: instagram.com/p/BuAmgDmnjnM/

for everyone who is a bit lazy and doesn't like sport (like me): As a student of classical singing I can also recommend taking classical singing lessons, as you really have to do be aware about your "head and neck posture". I've had problems with my posture but since I started singing my posture is pretty fixed

This is how you get started. You also have to roll out the neck muscles and tendons, while they are in an extended position. Hip flexors too

Started doing this exercise less than a month ago, three times a day, without face pulls. Physically I don't feel any differences, have no pains, but my father told me it is better now. Anyone who's struggling the same problem - I totally recommend you this exercise. Thanks for an awesome video

There is one crucial Part missing. Except your physical Health you need to consider your Mental Health. I did went trough a really tough Phase in my Life and my Energy, my Motivation as well as my Posture went down. As i made it past that Part i regained my Energy and my Posture came back by itself only because i started to enjoy Life again

He might become a coach too some day, if he isn’t already at least indirectly by being a role model. Jeff is the master, Jesse the assistant. It’s encouraging to see someone working on improvement & making the best effort & being transparent and sharing with others. It’s a great business & a great thing in general 👍Looking forward...
