Thank you! I hope you can do more videos explaining some of the scales you use and techniques that might be helpful to improv solos, everytime I see your lessons I learn something new
Thanks for the kind words! You'd probably enjoy my How to Solo Like Jim Root video if you haven't seen it yet, I go more into depth into that type of thing.
Thanks! I definitely would, realistically it’ll be a while until I get there though. Slowly working my way through covering/teaching AHIG, Psychosocial is up next 🤘🏻
Thanks for checking it out! Definitely not retiring the Jazzmaster, I think I'm just going to use the Sensei for Slipknot lessons since there's fret markers and the pickups are quieter than the EMGs feedback-wise.
I've seen them play both ways live interchangeably so I decided on downpicking, you could be right though. I like the way it sounds better downpicked like a lot of metal riffs
Hey bro what tuning is it in i assume drop b but not teally sure im subed so when you start the lesson could you just say the tuning so i can olay with you
@@BlackacreDoe What gauge strings are you using to tune this low? My 10s are too loose if I go down to drop B. Great lesson Im playing it in drop C# and its still such a wicked song.

@@BlackacreDoe Oh, that’s makes sense. Either way, great video
Hi, the lesson is very good, but if I'm not mistaken, originally the riff is with alternative picking and not with downpicking.
