I work in healthcare caring for the elderly and disabled.
I’m going through perimenopause right now and it’s rocking my world.
I ask my elder ladies about their menopause journey and most get very very embarrassed and or even say that they were perfectly fine, didn’t notice any changes etc… HUGE stigma around it!
    It saddens me.
We are all sisters. We should speak about this openly and honestly.
    This is very scary stuff!

I am 48 and I laugh at many women who are in denial, older women saying to me
    I never been through menopause,
As a woman I don't understand those women
We women must to get together and improve our life's together
And yes menopause is inevitable, but suffering is not
We can be happier helping each and get education on menopause ❤

I love my menopause, it’s medical though.. to prolong my life after hitting cancer. I love that I do not have to deal with periods and unwanted pregnancy. I love to feel myself a “ human” rather than a”woman”. I feel there is more space for intellectual and creative power in my brain now. I do not suffer from hot flashes, at lest that period was very short. Menopause is given to live longer. Our body cannot make through many decades of periods and pregnancies. menopause is another important stage, and sort of the gate to new freedom. Many women start second university degree, research projects or business during this time. We just have to share truthful information about what cycles our bodies are going through and what is the purpose of each cycle. Men shall know more about women and women shall know more about men. Most importantly women shall not be valued exclusively for their ability to attract men sexually, menstruate, become pregnant or give birth to babies. Women shall be valued simply for being a human. This way menopause is not a shame. And woman after menopause is the same valuable human with all decades of intellectual background and emotional experiences. Let’s be humans and let doctors to take professional care of other aspects of each biological cycle of life. Yes, menopausal women suffer from mood swings and hot flushes, but teenagers, young women, pregnant and breastfeeding also suffering from lots of other pains, side effects and mood swings. We just need to talk openly more, accept and respect every period of our lives. Thank you for thoughtful conversation.

I also thought similar. I was SO happy to get rid of my periods, I barely had any hot flashes. BUT…
      A bug “but”:
I gained a lot of weight, my hair thinned dramatically, my intimate region became extremely small and sensitive and lately even my teeth became sensitive. My sleeping pattern turned to a worse quality.
      No, it’s not just aging.
I started HRT (better late than never) 7 years in, and it helps a lot with all of the above. Don’t know about my bones, I took a lot of vitamin D and K2 (within normal range in bloodwork).

A lot of positive food for thought .
This cannot be belittled, some people have it a lot easier and wonder what the fuss is about .
Iv been through the periods , pregnancy x 2 , breast feeding etc etc coped well and knew it was short lived and for a positive good reason. Menopause is 24/7 for years it’s very deliberating and you wonder when will it ever end .
On a positive note , I like a lot of what you say , sometimes it’s easier said than done .
I’m pleased somebody has had a positive menopause experience , good luck ❤

There is so much stigma attached to menopause. Women are seen as less useful, less attractive, it’s when they start to become ‘invisible’. Add to that all the debilitating symptoms. Like withdrawing from work and social situations because of hideous hot flashes accompanied with dripping perspiration for …years. It’s horrible.

I'm in perimenopause and my narcissistic husband is very unsupportive and i feel like he's making my symptoms worse. I've searched and searched for info on menopause and narcissistic partners and the help just isn't out there. It would be great if you could do a video related to that. I'm afraid his toxic treatment is going to lead to my early demise.

Men actually do go through menopause just in a different way not really physical symptoms but more emotional level, it can be disguised as a midlife crisis, or they became very needy. At least that is what I've noticed.

men become more needy because their testosterone goes down and their estrogen goes up -- so physically, they get softer and mentally, they become more "needy" and more relationship attentive.

My wife is going through menopause but is in full denial. I only this by talking with other men about my wife acting so differently. Anger towards me not wanting to be touched or sleep with me. But why could'nt she tell me and she tells others she is not going through menopause

Look at how fit and healthy, some of these male podcasters look. They take testosterone. Marie takes it too. But she keeps that for herself.

What a load of trash, divorced because there prioritising ?? So it’s not the fact the woman don’t want to be intimate any more and not willing to make there man happy. Men need very little to be happy.
Look at the research any you will see the man is expected to live the rest of his life not getting what he needs in a relationship but the man needs to do everything in his power to make the woman happy and forfil her needs.
