Metalworking:washer/dryer and metal shelves in the laundry room/closets, metal cabinets, sinks, bathtubs, toilets, ovens, microwaves, metal cabinets/tables, vending machine and the garbage cans/dumpsters. @@ChrispyCheerios depends on the motel on the rates you get. The best motel to do it at is the big one on the muldraugh highway/riverside suites in riverside but imo it's not enough of a difference to spawn in one of the other spawn towns then head there to just dismantle that motel. The first floor business/second floor apartments in rosewood/West point are also a good area to get a lot of crafting skills exp but I usually head here after the motels in the town get ransacked. Also I always play with fast learner, you might get a level or two worse of rates if you are taking slow learner/not talking fast learner. At this point in zomboid career, I just tag fast learner for 6 to get a boost to everything instead of taking gymanist for nimble and forgoing fast learner. If you stay in the spawn town anyway, the zombies in most of the cells should stay around the first week population until you head on a looting trip outside the city. Once you are out of the spawn town for more than three days, the spawning mechanics will finally update and go "Oh crap, he's on day 50 so he should of reached peak population on day 28 but we are still giving him the same day 1 zombies" and update it. That's why the spawn rate goes so insanely high upon your return even with zombie respawn off.
