Finally glad to see someone shed light on how amazing illium is. So tired of all the wrong and outdated takes on the class. To add, unfortunately there are still some ping dependent parts to illium, the most notable being winged javelin. Deploy crystal is also ping dependent although the speed is fast now so its less noticeable
you only need 1 gate. having 2 or 3 gates won't affect the rates. the 'mobbing' from the gate only activates while you have the buff. so as long as you are near the gate every 25 seconds, you'll have the extra mobbing+buff. +1 mobs hit in inner ability will also affect gates mobbing.
love to hear it everyone ranks illium low cause of setup difficulties but never played the class i personally find adeles setup much more annoying literally starting a boss with glory mode already with the 20% fd boost crystals is godly.
I'm nearly wanna quit this game until I try out Illium 😅. Right now I found this class's gameplay is very interesting, the skill sound and effect makes me feel I'm the God 🥰😘😍

After coming back to the game after a 15 year break and starting an Illium, then Aran, then recently Ark, I'm all in on Illium as my main. The character goes impossibly hard, when I'm playing my other characters I'm just wishing I could do what Illium does. Wish I could get anywhere near your kind of damage output, though. I'm 232 and sitting at just about 1M. Just gonna take time I suppose.

Erda Shower, is the AoE you're describing. The skill has a second function, where if you hold the down arrow key and press the skill, it places a summon that will attack after you've killed a number of mobs. You can also right click the skill to lock it into that function to remove the down arrow key input.
Ah yeah I figured the down arrow part, I didn't know about right click part so I don't have to down arrow, very useful! I'm at lvl 215 now and just got some magnus normal gear pieces and some gollux normal gear. I'm at 700k dmg and I'm easily clearing maps fully with this video you posted. Freaking awesome demo of this job man. I'd be down to connect and just share some convo with you about MapleStory if you'd ever wanna just hang out and chat.
The shards have a pretty small search area for mobs. It's deceptive on frenzied spawn since there are more mobs for them to search for, and they do re-target, if their original target dies before they arrive, so the higher spawn density can make it seem bigger than it actually it.

You stack up the magic guard by using Javalin + Orb. It's annoying, but only takes a second or so to max out. It's the crystal above your head that counts up until its capped, then the animation updates.
it used to deduct the lucent brand when u proc magic guard, but now it doesn't do tht anymore, it was WAY MUCH SQUISHIER and they changed it so it works like normal magic guard as long as u have any numbers or lucent brands.
@@KeaneCJK I'm not noticing any difference in damage reduction from no stacks to max stacks, could it be possible they changed it to a constant damage reduction rate? Also my mana isn't being consumed when I'm hit at max stacks.

Wont 250-260 alone take longer than 200-250? Or can you just go to lower level mobs and use the 2x coupons again? Iirc I went from 30% to 15% a totem (back in awake lmao, it's more like 50 and 25 now.) Considering how reliant your rates are on those cs 2x coupons I feel like itll take forever until cern. And your classes will hit a big big wall at cern until they get sac up.
250-255 had its exp req reduced by a lot fairly recently, so its not terrible. There is a noticable differenece in exp/h from 240-250 and 250-255 for sure, but once you get to bonus exp range for LoS and Limina, it balances out to be slightly faster. Overall time 250-260 is like 30% faster than 200 - 250. Still takes quite a while though.
Curious why you think illium gets worse after 200 despite having one at 278. Theres no way illium is weaker than bam atm, and unfortunately bam is only going to get weaker if it keeps getting nerfed

hella curious, how did you get your lucent wings to still show with a cape on ??
If you use an effect cape ( in this case wings of fate ) you can toggle them off to hide the cape without hiding the class wings.

you know without frenzy totem most leveling places you reccommend aren't that good... and most don't have frenzy totem
Frenzy service is readily available for reg servers. You don't need your own totem.

A majority burning is meh like I’m 45+ 200s so depends on rewards for some to just remake char
