I remember 2017. A time before Dream became popular, and when some of the most famous TH-camrs like Technoblade were just getting started with their TH-cam Careers. Many people consider 2017 to be in the dark ages of Minecraft, but with a few catalysts for Minecraft to be propelled out of the dark ages in a few years. Honestly, 2017 was actually a pretty lively year for me and many other people. Contrary to popular belief, I think 2017 was the end of the Minecraft dark ages, although both 2016 and 2018 weren't great years for Minecraft.
If Dream never existed or played Minecraft, I think the modern era of Minecraft still would've happened eventually, Dream was not the only reason why Minecraft came out of it's dark age and became popular again. Speedrunning and manhunts probably wouldn't of been as popular but I think they would have still grown in popularity.
I support Dream, but one thing that I support more are old Minecraft youtubers, specifically Stampylonghead, Logdotzip, AntVenom (also fuck Adam/Sky Does Minecraft), etc. It’s all because of them that they opened a whole new generation of Minecraft youtubers and trends, especially during 2013-2014 where Minecraft is at its peak popularity. Without them, Minecraft wouldn’t be as popular as today, and probably Dream wouldn’t post nor play Minecraft, and Pewdiepie wouldn’t have the motivation to do the Minecraft play series thing, since he or even anyone wouldn’t be heard of it if the old Minecraft youtubers don’t play Minecraft. That is why we need to appreciate the people - the old Minecraft youtubers who made Minecraft how it is today, and not talk trash them about “they shouldn’t have play Minecraft and popularize it instead of Dream”, because if they do, Dream wouldn’t exist, and you wouldn’t be here complaining about Minecraft.
3:22 the third video [the one showing herobrine] was at the top of my right bar when i saw this. The only differences were the fact that in the one thumbnail I saw was faded in pitch black darkness and his arms and torso were bigger. [The video is Minecraft’s most dangerous experiment]

I think Minecraft would be worse without dream but all the twitter drama and people being weirdly obsessive with dream would be a lot better off gone. also, without dream, sapnap and George wouldn't even have TH-cam channels because dream said they started their TH-cam careers together.
