I've commented many times now on the respect I have for Rebecca and Megan and love of their music, but the more I learn about and discover their earlier years alongside Jessica in clips such as this, the more I understand the sentiments of those who comment on how much they miss seeing the 3 of them together. Special talents indeed.
I heard The Lovell Sisters on Prairie Home Companion in 2005. I have three sisters and my mother's maiden name was Lovell so...yeah...they didn't have to work that hard to get my attention...but I am really glad they did.
As a certified old person, I have to say this is a wonderful rendition of one of my all-time favorite songs from "back in the day." Exquisite harmony, and it makes me wish Lovell sister #3, whose name I don't know, would at least occasionally join Rebecca and Megan for a show, or part of a show by Larkin Poe. I'm very much a fan of Larkin Poe's blues-rock work, but this kind of acoustic presentation is rare (to me) and special.
check out the christmas editions of shakepoe. beautifull full family songs and harmonies as well as the third sister making my eyes ball out on a grand grand grand duet.
Thanks for posting this! Lovell sisters harmonies were unique. I really miss them since almost 15 (!) years. Megan and Rebecca as Larkin Poe are certainly very talented, but frankly I don't like their genre, unless something from their Lovell heritage surfaces. From time to time, it happens...

I really like this more bluegrass / alt-country style by these 3 sisters. Other Georgia sisters I like include the Castellos and Rising Appalachia.
It was supercool❤

The third sister's name is Jessica!
