@@MovingToMexiCo Well, we are just staying in new places all of the time...not going back to any spots. Also, it depends upon the time of year. We go to the beaches in the winter and higher up in altitude outside of (not in) larger towns/cities. AND since we are in an RV we are limited to places with RV parks.... We liked Patzcuaro, Cholula, Santa Maria del Tule and our current spot in Bahia de San Agustin (snorkel bay).
In accordance with what you said: Many people don't know, but usually the poorest states in Mexico like in many countries are the less organizated regions, as well exist more organization in urban and semiurban locations than the rurals places, but also this can vary between regions, Is the same thing with the ethnicity in Mexico because is geo referenced, usually the south are predominantly indigenous, while in the center, are more mixed race people (mestizos, castizos) and in the bajio, western and the north live more people of european ancestry, where most of them are directly decendents of the spanardians and mediterranean cuacasians in generally. And many pesdestrians walk so lazy, walk where they want, walk watching the cellphone or walk diagonally, so is more a situation of imprudence by both sides, not necesary by bad drivers, besides this also can vary depending the regions, the more developed are the state more civic education are.
"Nationality" would be based on whichever passport you are using - so if you have both Mexican and USA citizenship and passports, you would answer based on which passport you are using for that trip.
@@felixlopez1304 In English around the world people call ppl from the USA Americans. Nothing to be defensive about. Yes Canada UsA and Mexico are all part of North America. Colloquialisms are just the way people talk .
The "Pedestrian right-of-way" practice in the US (Colorado), is almost obnoxious. You can't drive thru town without someone slamming on the brakes because they see a person that might be thinking about crossing the road at some point in time. Kids! Yes always use caution and stop. Mexico assumes that a Pedestrian has enough common sense to let a vehicle pass before crossing the freaking road! Designated cross walks with warnings are adequate. Finally got that off my chest.😂 Thanks Paul
I greet everyone when wandering around, following the lead of my Mexican friends who smile and greet everyone, it seems. Believe me, introvert me would rather not call any more attention to myself than I already do just by being a foreigner, but when in Mexico, do as the Mexicans do is my motto. Especially in my own neighborhood.
As naturalize US citizen borne in Mexico Nayarit when i came to live in Jalisco after 43 yrs ,even I had some culture shocks. 😂 your 5 observation are on point amigo 🇲🇽🇺🇸
I am not sure if I agree with anything, but nice video. I personally believe in being overly kind with everyone in Mexico. I have found that a well placed compliment will literally slay most Mexicans and then I can get whatever I want. I have unlocked more amazing experiences with a smile than I could ever expect. Mexico however to me is not organized, it is downed in red tape. The fact that every time you go through a government official you have to have three copies of a form that no one really cares about, is ridiculous. I do however agree with you that Mexico is not a race. Mexico is very diverse and you really can't point out a Mexican. The range of races that make up Mexico is enormous. Have fun in Mexico. You can always go back and visit the USA.
Question: how long does it take to get paperwork to live in Mexico? I was born in US but I am mexican! Well, now you got me all confused. 😊 I want to retire in Mexico. i am married to a Mexican (born in Mexico) I went to elementary school in Mexico but have been here 40 years now! Sooooooo, do I need a Mexico visa? Or need to become Mexican resident? I honestly never thought I did. But now I am a little confused. Thank you for this video. Oh and if I want to retire in 5 years do I start the paperwork now?
I tried to change the name on my cfe bill last week. I was told I could not change the name because of the hurricane 🌀 and would have to come back next month. I guess some papers flew away. 🙄
If you plan to drive to Rosarito, Mexico, and want to keep your car with US plates, you can obtain a temporary vehicle import permit from the Banjercito website or at the border. Ensure you have valid insurance that covers Mexico, and familiarize yourself with local driving regulations. Keep necessary documents like vehicle registration and proof of ownership. Note that regulations may change, so check for the latest information before your trip. If you’re moving there full time, I would recommend selling your car in the US and buying a new one in Mexico.
Mexicans aren't bothered by litter. I've been to beautiful resorts in Mexico and the only people I saw litter were the locals. They just blatantly litter without, it seems, much thought to it.
You're wrong mofo.... In my little town in Michoacan nobody tosses trash on the street. There is no graffiti anywhere.. The town is super clean.. nobody steals anything. The big Mafia bosses will take you away if they find out you're misbehaving. Never to be found again...
I am Mexican What I can tell you is that yes Mexicans need better manners about trash and other things The main thing about the trash is that there are street vendors everywhere you go and often trash us not put in the trash cans.
When you come to Mexico, maybe you will have to change about some prejudiced white wash points of view of the world.(I'm not trying to offend to anyone, it's a verifiable fact that you, U.S. citizens have been indoctrinated to think that way). We don't categorize who is more Mexican or less Mexican for their skin color. We are all Mexicans for our deep and rich historical/cultural common background, Not for our genetic background, less or more, we are all mixed breeds. I understand than you hadn't accomplished that yet and for you, your only backgrounds are genetically, but, never never never say bullshit like: oh, I'm an 1/64 Cherokee by my Gran and a 1/16 irish or any crap like that in México. Forget about that way of thinking. I'm not saying than we don't have racism classism or other issues, I'm saying: we don't need NEW forms of racism or classism.
@@MovingToMexiCo Categorize, as in describe? I can't really. As you know, some look more like Eskimos or Native Americans, while some look more like white people with great tans. Asian is a race. If you saw two Asian men standing side by side, could you tell (by looks alone) which one was Chinese and which one was Japanese? Not likely, but yet they are both Asian. White (Caucasian) is a race. But by looks alone, can you tell a Polish man from a Canadian man? Black is a race. But by looks alone, can you tell Black man born in Texas from a Black man born in Uganda? Each race has certain physical characteristics, DNA sequences, and bone structures. These are the things that allows archaeologists to determine what race a skeleton is. But since the Spanish invaded almost 500 years ago, I doubt there's any "pure" Mexicans left. Like 99% of the rest of the world, everybody is pretty much of mixed heritage these days.
There are many Mexican people who’s genetics haven’t been influenced by Europeans. If you visit places like Chiapas or Oaxaca, you will find many. From your explanation I think you would categorize Mexican people as Latin as they are from Latin America. That is a blanket category similar to “Asian” being used for most of Asia. However there are many different looking people here including natives that I wouldn’t categorize as Latin. I know a black person who was born here in Mexico. He is Mexican. The idea that being Mexican is a race falls apart. Mexican is not a race. It is a nationality and cultural identity.
As far as dealing with the goverment they are both the same in the us and Mexico its call bureaucracy they a.. holes and rude . The only ones more friendly here in the states is the local ans country level a nd also mich faster than in Mexico,
However in Mexico, the government person you deal with literally makes up rules on the fly. You can tell they do not know but make up rules that just don’t make sense if thought through logically. This applies to banks as well.
