- When I make my first run at a blank surface - what I call Reckless Abandon - my mindset is 0% Expectations, 100% Kindness for myself. Holding this mantra, and playing some loud music in my earbuds, truly helps me get out of head and get paint down. But then what to do next? I've found at this "second stage," it's very important to avoid judgement and criticism, and instead analyze what you have. I cover how I do that in this video. Let me know if you find it helpful and please share any additional mindset or process tips you may have below. Thanks for watching. #abstractart #oilpainting #paintingtutorial
