I received my kit today from Thoroughbred. I wanted to comment and let people be aware, because I was confused when I opened the box. The filter housing looked different than what was in this video and all install videos. The instructions said 12-18 Cummins. I called and waited for someone from warehouse to call me back. He told me it was the same instructions and kit for my 2010. I thought it looked like it would work, but didn't want to screw up a return. The housing is a major pain in the butt to install. It is even harder with the automatic transmission lines in the way. The G&R installation video was on an engine that was outside the truck.. I can see why. However, it is worth it and gets the old housing bracket out of there. It looks cleaner in that area now.
Just be ready to cut your wire harness to connect your water in fuel sensor. Some cummins engines come with short wiring harnesses some have longer. And G&R’s answer is to splice your wire harness. Otherwise you get to see your water in fuel light on your dash while using this kit. Tried getting a 90 degree an fitting to switch which port the sensor goes in and not getting any help from G&R.
G&R customer service is horrible. Only interested in the sales. Would not return my calls after receiving this product that was missing parts for installation.

How does the water sensor detect water at the top of this housing? water settles to the bottom of a filter or its housing. Does CAT have a filter to install a fuel water sensor? Looks like a great kt though, would love to have one for my 2002 24v.
Do you need to put a stem seal o ring on the cat filter without the water separator will debris get past the threads if you don't use one I hate to mess my injectors up.
might have to make your own mounting bracket and buy a AirDog with out the filters its called a Raptor pump. then you will need to pup a draw straw in your fuel tank for a better suction line. or if you have the extra money just buy a AirDog 150gph and the newer Airdogs 165gph come's with a fuel pressure adjustment screw on the side of the fuel pump to dial in the your desired fuel pressure (fuel flow) to your injection pump.
hey man you can use this it will work if you have a Air Dog with out the filters its called a Raptor pump made by Air Dog. you will just have to drill new holes on the new mounting bracket to bolt on were your existing fuel filter was if it dont line up just make a custom metal 3/8 inch square or rectangle block to let it push out from the intake plenum to how ever you want it to make it fit . just buy longer 10mm bolts. the 6.7 and the 5.9 are pretty much the same design as far as the bolt locations on the cylinder head were the intake plenum plate is. if you have the extra money just buy a AirDog 150gph with the filters. i bought a AirDog 165gph for my1994 12 valve and my 2003 24 valve was the best thing i ever did

The water sensor is no longer in functional use here, just reinstalled to the filter base to keep it out of the way and not have a light.

If it is a stem style fitting the oring seal will come with the filter and should be used.

Does anyone make these setups for a 96 dodge 3500?
We don’t offer a fuel filter relocation kit for the 12 valve trucks yet.
