I have a 2021 Sport Glide with Bassani road rage 2 into 1 and the baffle came out fairly easy. I just used vise grips and pulled. I took out the wrap insulation material too. Did not have to disassemble the exhaust. ALSO, NO backfiring, pops or loss of power

I was hesitant to remove the whole thing because I thought I might completely change the sound of the exhaust and not not sound good. I do want it louder, but I would prefer it still sound good or at least somewhat the same original sound of the basanni, but just louder.
Is the original baffle same of Bassani Quiet Baffle? I bought the same exhaust last summer and I was wondering to change the baffle for the Quiet Baffle from Bassani since where I live, loud pipes are more restricted. But I won't change it if the custom one is already the quiet one. Thanks
Old video but I just put a road rage pipe in my 96" bagger didn't care for the sound with the fiberglass packing so I removed it and put the baffle back in but the problem now is the tapered muffler tip makes it raspy on accel around 4k rpm and on decel like fishtail exhaust sorta. Did you have that issue?
I just bought mine and did this exact same thing before installing it on the bike 👌🏼. Everything was real easy to take apart since there was no carbon build up yet.
how loud is it on long rides? Do you think it would give you a headache? I have a 18 heritage with BRR2, but its sounds a little soft. I like loud, but at the same time when I do 500 miles, I dont want my head to thump. thanks!
@@TrippHPjunkie I have a half helmet that i prefer to wear, but also 3/4 and full. Long trips its the 3/4 for the most part because of teh bluetooth system.
I’m goin to opposite way I have a full length bassani on my road king I’m puttin the quiet baffle in it for long trips. W a full face it drowns me out and gets annoying after a while
I have the RR2. Did you put the baffle back in once you removed the all the wrapping out of the exhaust and off of the baffle? Or did you remove the wrapping along with the baffle? I removed the wrapping and the baffle and its really obnoxious.
Thanks bro......take the muffler all the way off and use a pry bar and hammer to beat it out of the end that has the end cap....it will come out if you do that....thanks for the comment

You may have to twist it a little but yea if you need to use a long screw driver or pry bar from the pipe side and tap it out hopefully that helps....👍👍👍👍
Did you remove everything off the baffle? I'm talking about the fiberglass packing in the muffler and the wrap around the baffle? I took mine off and its waaay too damn loud.
As in the video I took off the outter fiberglass matte......I perfer the sound....but I wear a fullface....but thats the beauty of this mod is reinstall the matte on the outside of the baffle and boom your good....thanks for the comment

I've the same pipe on my street bob. It's not so loud with the baffle but I don't like the sound without to metallic i don't know if you see what I mean. So i just removed the fiber around thr baffle, nouw it's perfect 👌

@@acurarl9929 i actually put back the packing. Without you loose bottom end torque. Also I'm now in s&s 106 big bore with s&s 583 cams so it screams like hell. Just keep the packing man the sound is nice with just a little less louder

Question: did you have a good amount of deceleration pop before or unwanted decel noise before and did it help the decel sound after. Love the acceleration sound of it. Just thinking of removing packing to make decel sound better.

Cool, I went to pull the packing out and its was already gone! Previous owner musta pulled it, I bought the pipe used. But a buddy sent me a big city thunder baffle Im gonna chop my current baffle down and ad it. Hoping for louder this bassani is pretty quiet still

This is a stupid question but any performance gains!? I just got mine RG3 it’s been about 800 miles. So far same bottom end as my TH but noticeably down on mids and high end rpms. Love the sound, the looks just hate the performance. I’m might go back to thunderheaders for that

I don't think it will be just you . Now here is the thing. Where do you feel it may have improved? Low end hard take off, or as you wrung the gears out ( in the top end). Maybe you could have lost a little grunt, but picked up some mid range to top end oomph.. (hp). I will be interested to see your next video brother. @@TrippHPjunkie

I removed the packing from the baffle in my road rage 2, honestly didn't notice much difference. Now when u remove the baffle completely.... huge, especially if u leave the tapered end piece off. On throttle, death defying loud.

Mine should be here this week sometime. I might just remove the packing before putting it on

Yes take the muffler off the pipe and take the end cap off and push it out towards where the end cap mounts.....should be golden after that.....👍👍👍👍👍

Throw a towel around the end of the baffle sit on the ground and place your foot somewhere on the bike and let a rip. Takes 2 mins

The wrap around the baffle is more for control the volume loudness so yea give it a try wrap is pretty cheap considering let me know how it goes

Everyone thinks it's hard to remove but all I did was tie a rope to bar welded to baffle and pull. Popped rite out.
