You don’t need to take the bracket off.. just loosen it, rotate the filter 180 degrees and it will come out easy 👍🏾

I wish I spotted this comment before starting the job……

Great video - without it, I wouldn't have even attempted this. You don't need to take the filter bracket off. Once you've accessed the bolt that holds the filter, you can pull open the bracket and get enough space to remove the filter.

Did everyone manage to get the car started after following this guide? Im terrified to try it in case i cant get it started. Ive done plenty maintenance like wheel bearings, alternator replacement etc but working on a diesel fuel system makes nervous that it wont start 😅

I always fill the new filter with diesel before reconnecting the fuel lines. Just use a clean syringe and fill until it overflows. This prevents air bubbles and gives an instant start.

@@MrJCIRELAND I do it the same way. Then the engine will not even notice that it has a new fuel filter installed. It will start right away.

I found by leaving the mounting bracket on the car and loosening the mounting bracket clamp bolt the filter can be rotated and pulled from the vehicle with little effort , I would also suggest a flexible drive when removing the air intake from the engine (that was tricky with out 😖)

My model is petrol (gasoline), and it's not where you say it should be. Is it in the fuel tank?

The video shows the diesel filter. There's no serviceable filter fitted to petrol models.
