The 2009 soldier's arsenal set is notable for being the only set in the wave that gives a soldier a backpack. That annoyed be back then.
See the back packs are nice but honestly the soldiers shouldnt have them. Since they are not marching troops usaully troops on ships didn’t carry backpacks around.
Brad you really outdid yourself with this one. Eleven minutes too😮. It’s so informative and the jokes are on point too👍🏾
I trying to get better at doing longer videos now that I have the time for it😂 and thank you! Glad you learned something from it and you found it funny I never know if people will get my jokes😂😂
This is my favorite faction from Pirates. I remember I had the Outpost and the Imperial flagship at the time and they were very important to me (the ship especially!). This faction helped me turn a lot into the Afol that I am today! I never had the Imperial Trading Post but I´m planning to get all the necessary parts and make one myself.
I hope Lego brings back the red coats but they have the blue coats, red coats and pirates in one set Id think that would be cool
I wouldn't be surprised if the change from bluecoats to redcoats and finally Aramda was done to try and boost sales in various countries by appealing to them specifically.
The bluecoats with their fleur de lis flags are modeled on the French. The Redcoats with the flower removed from the flag are obviously British. Finally the Armada with the elaborate red and yellow crest with conquistador helmets are obviously Spanish.
That was a fun video to watch, thanks for making it! I think the Red Coats also appeared in a comic in the June 1993 issue of the Disney Adventures magazine, where Jack (the Lego Maniac) meets them in part three of 'Peril in Pirate Cove'
4:57 I pieced mine together. And it has 8 cannons. But as you know, the Black Seas Barracuda received an update, in Pirates of Barracuda Bay. Put together that ship was kinda dinky, so I MASSIVELY EXPANDED IT to a 14 gun Frigate.
I'm enamoured in that Wolfpack shield in the back (and so many Castle and Pirates sets that I recognise!). Damn man, you have a great taste
Nice video Sir. Keep it up and I am hoping that the next one will feature the Armada.
@@BrickingUpBrad The Armada is my most favorite ever because I am a huge admirer of the Spanish Conquistadors and LEGO did little to them.
Can u talk about the Imperials/armada next? I've always loved their morion helmet
My goal is to do all imperial factions for pirates before moving on. But I did record the audio for it! It will come out next Friday or the week after depending on if I can finish it before I go to brick fair va!
Thanks for the lore. I didn't even know these classics had such fun bits of trivia and story. I look forward more castle and space! These videos got me super into castle thanks dude!
Oh nice! What has been your favorite castle set since you got back into castle?
@@BrickingUpBrad Well a personal favorite i've always wanted since I was a kid has been the skeleton tower from the fantasy era. My cousin had it and I could never forget it. I hope to collect pretty much all of the fantasy era sets as it was my introduction to the theme and I just personally love anything to do with skeletons, black and red color schemes, and all the rest of it.
Battle packs should only include soldiers. Imagine buying 100 battle packs for army building and you also get 100 captain red beards.. lol
I have a vintage lego red coat without its head shoulder pads and hat
There’s a lot more backstories to these lasses and wenches than I realised
Great video. Your subs are way up from when I started watching your channel. Keep up the good work!
3:27 i remember having that set.... I chewed up the map my mind was not at it place before i love Legos sorry and the red soldier was no good because the limbs won't stay it places but i give the pirate dude with the green hat a racer outfit 😎
So, I managed to pick up a couple sets in the later run of Pirates in the US with the Red Coats, and later Iron Hook and the Islanders, and I found that the cannons didn't have the spring loaded firing feature that was advertised in earlier sets. As a kid, I found this disappointing.
So, when they released new pirate sets with actual functioning spring cannons, I made an upgrade to my small Schooner, the only pirate ship I had.
Bought 3 built 2 of the imperial flagship 1 and 2 got combined into a monster sized frigate lol 3rd is in box still such a great set!
OI! we fought one of those wars to make sure that we (Canadians) Were not marching with you!
I'm an American, yet I have never had a problem with the Red Coats { whenever my cousins or elementary school classmates would play Pirates, I always wanted to play a Red Coat } , I have also been an Anglophile for as long as I can remember, I wonder if there is a connection there?
@@BrickingUpBrad I knew, I was just sharing a little eccentricity about myself, and playing along with a good video.
Those were the days I agree, Lego should bring these sets back
Awesome video
You can load the cannon and fire! is almost as good as A man has fallen into the water in Lego city!
Excited for your next stream, love the vids I am almost done building my own pirate ship.
The next stream won’t happen till I get back from Virginia!
That is awesome!
@@BrickingUpBrad Ah right, are you there for brickworld or just for a vacation?
wow i i. i. aa i loved it beautiful no fr tho another shocking video like i didnt know like any of this!!! great video noww we need a mtron video! just an idea tho! 😊
behonest when i look this video, i never know about the lore and the stories. because there was not so many to sell in mine country back then.
I think the Blue Coats are from the colonies and the Red Coats are the British Imperial Navy
Will they ever bring red coats back?
Clearly they are are british!
Great video! Where did you find the audio drama translations? I need them!!!!!!
Brad i have a question which pirate faction is your favourite the red coats, the blue coats, the pirates, armada, or islanders?
Oh that’s a tough one but as of right now the blue coats! But I love the officer of the red coats!
1:56 bruh
Anyone remember Lego Battles the video game??🥺
Wait, does this mean the armada are coming back
These videos are so good!
But man, the imperial flagship has 'brittle brown' issues, including the masts. It's so sad to see. The entire thing is brown, and it's all susceptible. I really hope we get a re-release of it like Galaxy Explorer or El Dorado Fortress.
It would be intresting if lego did a more realistic take on the royal navy although i doubt they will
I know they don’t want to portray any real world country armies, but I do agree!
@@BrickingUpBradI think the closest we've come to a naval British officer was Barbossa in the pirates of the Caribbean fountain of youth set
First the blue coats now the red coats. Atleast we get good videos though😄
@@gavinp5465 my goal right now is imperial armada, black knights, power miners then space police 1 just because of how people voted on a poll I did
Hello
Try me, I'm a boy or a boy. Try me. Should I moveie to Amy albuddy hammy? We got next, mum, they don't mess with the british
How the hell do you have only 4000 views and already over 50 comments? One of my videos has only gained 41 comments over one and a half year while having over 31k views. Why is TH-cam so damn broken? Also, keep up the good work and maybe cover the islanders in the next video
Do you understand german 😮
No😂 I honestly have never learned a second language. But I did find translations to the German audio dramas!
My brother keeps buying fake redcoats
My dad owned the Imperial Flagship and now it's mine. He bought two of them and MOCed it to use the center hull section from the second set to entend the first so that it had three cannon on broadside and two masts. He also put two more cannon on the bow with no carriage wheels.
