    Blows my mind you can’t change vehicle on the fly. I am a car driver but there are days I would love to work on a bicycle for example the temp lights you encountered. It should be as simple as select vehicle and go online.

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly my thoughts - I hope all the apps add it one day. There are major roadworks in my town making it hell to work in a car from about 11AM-7PM when it’s just queues and standstill traffic everywhere. If I could just hop on a bike until then and then go back and switch to my car, I’d love it.

      @@autohustles exactly mate. They are in fact doing themselves, cos we would be more likely to work. Madness.

    That ticket, damn! It's Very easily done though especially when you are trying to navigate an unfamiliar place. Top tip; get yourself an A4 loading/unloading sign to put on the dash (wouldn't help of parking in disabled bay though 😅) I use mine all the time in city centres , never had an issue. You can also park on most yellow lines for loading & unloading as long as there's no restrictions and your not causing an obstruction of course

    I remember when traffic wardens used to give you some grace time, not anymore! I got a ticket in Newcastle recently and could literally prove the warden lied on his paperwork but the council sided with their employee! I just paid in the end as couldn’t be chewed with the hassle.

    10:28 Like they care about seeing you're a delivery driver! 🥴 The only parking ticket I got in almost 5 years of deliveries was being away from my car for literally a minute, just in and out of the restaurant, lots of delivery bags in my car for them to see plus I always have a A4 paper on the dashboard saying I'm doing deliveries and will be back shortly. The guy saw the note, took a picture of it and gave me a ticket within a minute of me stopping there. 🙄🤦🏻
    But there are other wardens that are nicer.
    And btw... I got that ticket after 8:30pm plus there's been times when wardens were out at midnight hunting for cars to ticket. They're a lovely bunch! 😐

    Don't think you can park in loading bays for food delivery, going by tfl rules, loading bays are for everyone but only for loading and unloading heavy or bulky items that need a vehicle to move them, it says its not for stuff like collecting a prescription or taking/picking up a suit from the dry cleaners, I think the reason for that is because they are not heavy or bulky so the vehicle can be parked in a normal parking spot and the driver walk to the shop to pick up the prescription, I'm guessing the same applies to food deliveries because it's not too heavy or bulky so leaving your bag on seat won't always stop you from getting a ticket if at all, your best having a sign ready to put in your window that says "loading" that way they are less likely to ticket you until they know for sure if you are or not, but by that time it will be to late if you just jump in your car and drive off straight away. They should take notice of the sign and shouldn't ignore it cause like I said, loading bays are for everyone not just vans or lorries working for the businesses, which is why tfl says that if you don't have a passenger then to make it obvious that you are loading or unloading like speaking to a traffic warden if one is there, so sticking a notice in your window is one way of making it obvious

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a battle for sure, in Taunton the wardens here don’t have an issue with us in loading bays as long as they can see a bag or some other kind of sign we’re delivering, and will give us up to 15 minutes. I think councils around the country need to update their rules as delivery drivers are everywhere now and food delivery is becoming more a part of everyday life.

    I grew up nearby (Banwell), Weston was great when I was a Kid 70's and young adult 80's. (I lived in Worle as well). When I go back now, I can't wait to leave. Utter toilet. Badly, laid out and a dead high street full of drunks and druggies.

  • @Mr_ZPguy

    I thought the fine would be way higher for parking in the disabled bay, judging by what I've seen on TH-cam. Here in Portugal its 60 € and you actually lose 2 points. The "normal" fines for not parking correctly are 30 €.

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  ปีที่แล้ว

      It varies based on area, in most towns here in the south west of England it’s £70 but reduced by 50% if you pay within 2 weeks. No points for parking offences as it’s dealt with by councils and not the police. In London the fines are much higher, I got a ticket there once and it was like £130 reduced by half if paid within 2 weeks, so still £65.

    Haha, I just commented in another of your videos, but here I go again.
    Man, I feel your pain about the ticket. I was doing an errand for medicine for a relative, and I made a stupid mistake by not paying a toll in a road I didn't know... the amount was almost the same as yours. But I beat you, because I did do the errand, and your restaurant was closed. Hahaha. Cheers!!

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It sure does, at least the monthly plan does, not sure about their PAYG insurance. I used to use Inshur but I use Zego now as their quote for my car on monthly insurance was slightly cheaper.

    For how long it takes to get around Weston getting paid £4 and £5 ain’t worth it for shit!!! Honestly don’t understand why you would deliver instead of getting a Normal job

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was particularly bad on this day - most of the time this job pays at least the minimum wage. If that's all someone will get in employment, then the other benefits of this job (freedom to work when you want, no boss etc.) mean that some people will prefer it to a normal job.
