Emily, you can do with your “old bills” what I tried today and it worked! Put them through the laminator. 😂 I tried it on 3mil heat setting and it crisped them right up but did not mess them up!
When I was a server years ago and cash tips were still the norm, I used to iron my money. I only did a bank deposit once a week and wanted my money to be pretty instead of a crumbled mess like in my apron. The laminator sounds like an even better method!

With your sinking funds, do you ever move money if you have way more than needed in one envelope? For example, if your pet care envelope gets to an amount that’s well over what you think you’ll need, do you take some of that and move it to another category or a savings challenge?
That’s never happened to me 🙈 but if I did end up with plenty of cash in an envelope, I usually just stop stuffing that envelope and put that money elsewhere 🖤

I carry my wallet with me (the tan one) and leave all my other binders at home in a safe. I pull cash from them as needed but always only carry my wallet. I don’t cash stuff my bills so I can’t speak to that! I think most people are a month ahead and so they cash stuff for their bills all month and then deposit on the first so that they are covered and then start cash stuffing for the next month
I’m really, REALLY trying to understand but I’m just not getting it. I’ve watched a beginner video, which I kinda get, but I don’t know how I get from there to here-pulling money from here/there & knowing how much is meant to go wherever. We don’t stuff bills at this point in our journey. In order to do that, we’d have to be a month ahead and right now all of our extra money is going towards debt. Once we pay off our debt, we’ll start saving to be 6 months ahead and I’ll start stuffing for that 😊
