I loved your reaction to them. They are such a FUN group, always pushing into new territories of acapella. This was only the second time I had ever heard rap and acapella mixed together, both times were VoicePlay with J.None rapping. "Superstition" was the other song. J.None makes it work so well. He's currently serving in the U.S. Navy and only returns as a featured guest when he's on shore leave, but I hope returns to the group once he's done. He really brings in a unique style. They all do, from Eli ("Ellie") with his gritty rock tenor, Cesar with his smooth voice and sass (although he goes FIERCE in this video), Geoff with earthquake-inducing bass but he can also reach up just as high as the tenors when he wants to, and let's not forget the man who swallowed a drum kit, Layne Stein. His beatboxing is on another level, and when he arranges a song, you just KNOW it's going to be special. So much talent for one group, and their visual creativity -- costumes, makeup, and sets -- truly set them as one of the most theatrically entertaining music groups out there!
