I had a Sudoku Cube with mixed digits called a Sudocube and I solved it by putting one of each number on each face, but the panels were mixed up with the orientation. I don't remember what happened to it.
That configuration is harder than the other one. Most of the time you will end up with all numbers 1-9 on top but not in the proper order. My issue is having my cross in the proper order...2 on top, 4 to the left, 5 center 6 right and 8 down.

So much easier to fix the centres before you do the second layer! Then it's only the last layer centre you need to fix! With the algorithm!
