Yes Sir. More often applicable, mostly on broadleaf trees. Try to experiment some of your local yamadoris or bonsai materials available.

@GC Bonsai I have it seems to mainly work with tropical trees. It seems to work on elms though.

Yes this is also applicable to elms. I tried it on some of my Chinese Elms.
