Dolphins played a great game today, defense really stepped up on the last drive of the game.
I don't like this zone defense. Other then the last drive when it counted really no pressure. And the run defense. My God. From 4th best last year to what ever this was

This was an awesome game. So many lead changes. Miami's defense finally held at the end.
Tua has an exceptional read on the plays unfolding around him. And him dotting perfect throws makes him so dynamic. He might overtake Mahomes for best big play QB, with the quality of weapons around him, particularly Tyreek this week but Waddle will get his fair share soon
The throws he makes are very hard to understand. The angles are almost impossible. It’s like looking at an Escher painting. It’s beautiful, confusing, mesmerizing.

It took Miami’s defense to show why we hired Fangio all the way to the last quarter in Charger’s last drive. Better late than never. Amazing win considering all the mistakes and penalties.

Chargers was running because they couldn’t pass on Miami Miami was willing to give up the runs than to give up catches to their big receivers that are hard to bring down. And at the end of the game it showed that the chargers couldn’t pass on Miami defense.
Herbert only threw one TD, defense showed up and played when it mattered most.
Fangio knew our offense could keep up, so he save a bunch of the blitz schemes for that last drive.The chargers didn’t know how to counter it because they didn’t get many looks.
I’m just happy we aren’t blitzing every 3rd down now.

The Dolphin offensive line was outstanding, 0 sacks allowed, and I don’t think Tua was even touched throughout the entire game, and they did it without our best linemen and while blocking against two elite pass rushers. Kudos!
Tua released the ball really quickly. Reminded me of the Flores seasons.
In the chargers game, The line didn’t let any one go straight through them but they were pressured backward very quickly. I think they adjusted the approach from standing ground blocks to letting them push them back a little as long as they stay in front of them.
There was a major adjustment made from last season but I still don’t think they’re going to be able to protect Tua, especially without Armstead. All it would take is a better defensive back scheme taking away the quick reads.

Tua is cruising to his second season as the most accurate QB in the NFL. The winning touchdown pass to a completely blanketed Cheetah was just nuts. I doubt Hill could see the pass until it hit him between the numbers
He’s crazy accurate and it looks like he’s fully healed from that hip injury where his lower body is able to handle more load for deep throws. Last season it looked like he put his entire life into a deep ball only for it to be under thrown.

If it wasn't for the Dolphins establishing such an elite and accurate passing game, Chargers would have literally ran away with it. Their running game is SOLID, and quite frankly ran through the Dolphins defensive line. Shout out to the Chargers OC for exploiting that. That said, I LIKE the chances Tua took. Lots of anticipated throws, dangerous needles in double coverage, mixing it up and being unpredictable. This was the best game of week 1 by far with multiple lead changes, excellent offense and defense from both teams, and Kevin mf Harlan on the calls!
The Fins are still reconstructing their defense under the new coordinator. Giving up big plays isnt a major concern until they catch on with the new system.

It seemed like last season offered so much promise but was up and down. I agree. I really like Tua, seems like a good guy and wish the best for him. The Dolphins and Chargers have had some epic battles over the years, this one yet another segment. Glad the Dolphins defense could step up there at the end.

Tua and Tyreek definitely made and saved the day. Where the hell was Waddle? The defense didnt do squat until the last of the 4th quarter. Either Chargers have a great OLine or Vic has to make some major adjusments...?
As a life long Chargers fan I have gotten used to never winning when it matters and watch games just wondering. "How are they going to lose this time?" No team has disappointed their fans like the Chargers and its not even close the Chargers are the worst team to be a fan of by a landslide.

I’m a Dolphins fan in the Netherlands since 2008 or so and man I love this years team! This game though, for me it was in the middle of the night. I jumped up and down during the game and so not ready to sleep after the game. Hope Tua won’t get injured this season and him an Hill together is deadly. Let’s go 🐬

@@exillens When the other team decides to not double team Tyreek Hill I can promise you Tua will have a good game. How hard is it to throw the ball as far as you can and watch #10 out run the safety that has a 20 yard head start. Chargers need to cut JC Jackson he has been a giant bust and liability to our defence.
@@mattharvey7799 Yeah, so double Tyreek and leave Waddle to feast? Tua spreads the ball around to everyone, check the stat sheet. Miami was fumbling the snap all over the place else they would've dropped 40+. Chargers had 200+ yds rushing and still couldn't score enough or when it counted

What I like about tua is he gets the ball out of his hands so quick his awareness & he’s so accurate & precise
Chargers fan here. Defense got embarrassed man, idk what was going on, no adjustments, no pressure on Tua, why man up against the fastest team in the league etc. so many 3rd and longs or even 4th and longs. Easy game for the Dolphins props to them.
Most entertaining game I’ve seen in a while. Tua and Tyreek are an amazing combo!
