This show is so important. It teaches kids so many important things and is one of the few labelled 'kids' shows that talks about identity and real life mental issues. It doesn't hold back, that's why I respect Rebecca Sugar so much - this show doesn't force anything, it's fun - yet emotional and intelligent.
Leah Hewitt this and the importance of consent, the value of relationships and how toxic ones can be destructive for everyone, and last but not least, LGBQT people should be loved and respected.

It upset me so bad because my sister used to think like this. Watching her like that broke my heart because I know she’s a good person and her own trauma and issues used to make her snap at people. She doesn’t wanna hurt people but she ends up doing it because she’s hurting inside. Thankfully she’s doing much better now.

I think she’s just as upset about during the fight. When they could’ve worked together, but Steven was too wrapped up in guilt to actually even try to form Stevonnie.
Waheed Abdullah I think this is one of the rarest situations which both sides have a point. She's mainly angry because he left her alone to deal with it himself, thinking that he didn't believe in all their training for situations like this, and then returned and acted like it was nothing and that she should be glad he was back. However, while she has a right to be angry, Steven's actions were justified because one of the Gems who came to take them away used technology powerful enough to stop Alexandrite, and Steven felt that they were outmatched and that the only way to save everyone was to give himself up in exchange for their freedom. He also felt like he should take all the blame because he was partly responsible for their arrival in the first place (Marble Madness, everyone?).
Veronica Piccinini Oh yeah, for sure both have good reason for what they did and how they feel! A very complex situation, conflict, relationship in general. One of the best things about this show is their ability to make flawed but understandable characters and relationships!
Honestly I always saw that Amethyst episode as an analogy for unwanted children, with her phrase "I didn't ask to be made" being the highlight. Let's face it, there are tons of parents who, if given the chance, would've aborted their kid, but instead they're stuck with a child they don't even pretend to like while said child grows up feeling unwanted and resented for even existing. That thing can really, really hurt.

Listen,in a list of top 10 cartoons this is easily in the top 5s,just for the sheer amount of stuff it could do and messages it taught,also tbh it didnt even rlly have that many BAD episodes outside of season 1s beginning and some of season 4
For me one of the saddest moments is in the centipeedle episode. When she's slowing turning back into her corrupted form and and you can just see and hear the panic and despair as she desperately tries to get back to her crew.
When Lars called Stevens mom weird and he said “what do you even know about my mom, I didn’t even get to know my mom” I fricking cried on the toilet for 5 minutes! Edit: OMG THANKS FOR THE LIKES!! 😊

I KNOWWWW. That part of the show had me sobbing so much. I cried the last two episodes and then through the night as I watched Steven Universe Comic dubs. This show is MORE than a cartoon. IT IS AN ENTIRE LIFE. I was a mess for so long. Maybe I'm just a giant wimp idk. Im so happy for Steven!
*"How do I move on from all the stuff I've been through? How do I live life if it always feels like I'm about to die?!"* Ok, seriously, this is not just an heartbreaking moment, but it's one moment that changes everything. Now rewatching the show it's known that every adventure and every challenge Steven went through, it's actually another trauma and another piece of what will cause Steven's own downfall.
I'll never be able to see a Steven Universe episode in the same way again. All I'll be able to think about is how traumatized Steven is going to be later on, how many bones he's breaking, and also that Spinel is still in the garden.

the final was bad the first episode felt like filler the second part as the good part but the sadness didn't seem sad at all just fake the last also felt like filler jasper was only in it for like 30 seconds half of the characters weren't even in it and the creator and CN lied they said we will get answers but really we didn't just got more questions like where is pumpkin who is the pink haired girl what was in that chest in lion's head jasper wasn't fully fleshed out what about blue bird the rubies where is most of the fusions i don't think some of them showed up yet

I think its quite sad when people don't or haven't given the show a chance. They just criticise the show thinking it for kids cause they see the many colorful characters and refuse to see the show. I know this because my cousin hates this show but its because she's never given it a chance and has never experienced the types of pain emotional or physical the serie shows

The moment that had to make me emotional was Garnet and Stevonnie singing "Here Comes a Thought". My anxiety has always gotten to me and before my anti-anxiety meds, small things caused me to have a panic attack. Now that I have my husband and all my friends, I know it will all be okay. He has helped me get through so much of my anxiety and several anxiety induced panic attacks. The song really helps me calm down now.
I think we need a part two to this, some scenes from the show that we’re not mentioned really made me burst into tears. Like when Jasper got corrupted and shattered or when Garent found out Pearl was just using her so they could fuse into Sardonyx, and who could forget when Sapphire and Ruby spilt apart after what Pearl did! I mean, just seeing Sapphire cry and Ruby calling herself stupid, just made me burst into tears.
#1 on my list, which I was surprised it wasn't even in the honorable mentions, is when Steven leaves Beach City. Especially the last scene, when Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet finally say a proper, meaningful goodbye to Steven.
I think we can safely assume that: (SPOILERS) -Steven calling himself a fraud -Steven turning into wormy boi -Steven just sobbing at the end of ‘I am my monster’ (lord knows I didn’t stop crying for a good 5 minutes) -Steven leaving beach city :((( Could be added to the list
Connie momentarily leaving Steven in Dewey Wins STILL makes me cringe. She has to understand...STEVEN HAD LITTLE CHOICE IN THE MATTER! Even with Stevonnie's abilities, I doubt they could last against two dangerous Homeworld Gems. But still, people seemed to side with her; even Lion. I hope the final episodes and Steven's anger show's just how rash THEY were towards him for a change, instead of the other way around
sadlobster1 she was hurt because he broke his promise. You can’t control how people feel no matter how much you want to, but her feelings were very valid for the situation. Is the viewers understand that, and so does Connie, but she’s still hurt that he left.

Of course she was right to be angry, but THAT'S not the way to express it, especially after everything Steven had just been put through. She acted like he did what he did for no reason at all, even though she should know why he did it, because Mindful Education happened, and then expected him to understand why she was feeling hurt and put her feelings before his own (something that he does way more than anyone should and is what caused his downfall) even though he had just escaped from death. And what's even worse is that in "The New Crystal Gems" she calls Lapis and Peridot out on the fact that it must be really hard for him to have to be the adult for a bunch of super powered children, and when he doesn't act like an adult, he's an asshole? Connie should've tried to tell Steven why she was hurt instead of leaving him to wonder along the thousands of other problems he already had, and then should've let him ACTUALLY defend himself and should've tried to drill into his head that he's NOT his mom, that it's NOT his responsibility to solve every bullshit she caused, and that he's NOT an asshole for doing that. And she's the only one who would've been able to do that, because he would NEVER have believed it if it came from the Gems or Greg, because they're part of the problem. Connie was the only person who could've made Steven understand the biggest flaw of his character: allowing himself to become Pink Diamond's/Rose's victim, and feeling like he deserved it, and when she had the chance to do that and repay him for everything he's done for her, she just straight up abandons him for a month? Don't know about you, but that doesn't sound really fair to me.

I was sobbing for a solid 20 minutes after the Kindergarten episode. I loved Amethyst a lot with how outgoing and fun she was. Seeing her wanting to fit in and hate herself just broke me.
The scene that pulled on my heart strings is when Amethyst said, "I never asked ti be made!" I cried for hours. She was my favorite character then and I HATED Pearl after that episode. Now Garnet is my favorite character.

What I found as sad moments regarding each Crystal Gem, aside from Steven: Garnet: Confused as to how to prepare for millions of possible futures when she wants to enjoy being alive. Ruby: Sapphire leaving her. Sapphire: Learning the truth about Rose, which unfused them, and running away to grieve. Amethyst: Not only never asking to be made, but being called a runt from Jasper and never managing to beat her by herself. Pearl: Basically everything regarding Rose after she (Pink Diamond) faked her shattering. Bismuth: Wanting to end the war in a way that came to a disagreement with Rose, which then had her get locked away for years. Lapis: Being fused as Malachite and wanting to run away from her problems. Peridot: Lapis leaving her and being disappointed from "The Return of Camp Pining Hearts" reboot.
This show has made me ugly cry so many times. It's so good and so important too. So many important lessons that kids should learn that it teaches in it's own way.
I'm so heartbroken over this series ending. It has helped me through so much the past 2 . I have experienced so many traumatic events and steven universe was my only escape.... thank you Rebecca for this amazing show! I'm hoping the fandom won't die so soon. I'm happy that I can always go back and watch my favorite moments One moment that hit me is when steven realizes his true power and shatters jasper.... that and the whole change your mind episode 😭💜💜💜
One of the saddest moments for me was when Garnet unfused in Now We’re Only Falling Apart. Ruby was so heartbroken and poor Sapphire in What’s Your Problem asking “Oh Pearl, how will I ever get her back?!” when Ruby runs away was so sad. But they did get married in the end so at least there’s that Maybe it’s just because I love them so much.
From the original series, one that made me feel incredibly bad (and that I still remember) was probably Lapis' song "That Distant Shore". From the movie, definitely when Spinel said "I don't get it. Why do I wanna hurt you so bad? I'm supposed to be a friend. I just wanna be your friend". And from SU Future, the ending of episode 19. When Steven cried his eyes out and hugged Lion it reminded me of a past personal experience and I broke.
I feel like if Rose/Pink Diamond’s Story was presented chronologically rather than the backwards way it was told during the series, we’d view her much differently. We’d empathize with her a little more and be a bit more understanding. But because we were told her story backwards, we viewed her as a good person who was progressively becoming bad when in reality, Pink Diamond was a figuratively broken gem who grew up and learned to value life and was willing to make a great sacrifice to preserve life on a planet she grew to love. Then we saw her as Rose when she started dating Greg. At first she viewed him the way we view puppies; they’re cute and fun but they’re not necessarily the same as us. Yet Greg helps her understand that they need to be on equal terms and she’s willing to listen and learn. All her experiences made her the wise and loving figure that we knew at the beginning.

For me, the saddest moment was Steven's breakdown, when he turned into that huge pink monster. He spent his all childhood helping everyone, going to a point where he forgot about himself. It pains his friends to see him hurting and struggling to understand his pain and struggling to help himself heal.
seven years my friend... you were my childhood, when I came home from school i remember turning on the tv and watching SU for hours! it’s hard to believe it’s been 7 years with Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, Steven and more gems and people than I can say right now! I remember a little song from SU The Movie, ‘here we are in the future, and it’s wrong’ that is how it feels, it has ended... forever... the theories, the episodes, the mysteries, the emotions, all of that just... it’s never gonna come any new episodes or movies... all I wanna say is; thank you, Steven Universe for my childhood...
I’m so sad this show is ending. This show will always have a place in my heart because it helped me through a lot of hard times throughout school. I will really miss Steven Universe ❤️😭
A lot of people are. And the worst part is that it was so POINTLESS. They could've solved that conflict in like, an episode or two, and instead they wasted almost half the season in that bullshit, instead of focusing on things we ACTUALLY wanted to see, like the fact that Rose might not have shattered Pink Diamond after all, that was a great opportunity to confuse the viewers even more and make the reveal all the more satisfying. Or they could've focused on the fact Lars was currently stranded on space, or the fact that Homeworld was now an imminent threat, or literally ANYTHING ELSE. Seriously, anything would've been more interesting than whatever this bullshit was. How about the Gems? How do they feel about Steven giving himself up? Because this is kind of their fault too. They made him feel like it was his fault Rose was gone, and then made him feel like he should be more like her, and also refused to give him information about Pink Diamond, so why the heck should he trust them with his problems? They weren't acting like a team, and you're telling me that Connie being butthurt was more important than that? Jesus.

a moment that was not only rlly scary, but super emotional was when garnet and steven found the gem experiments that were forced together. and just seeing the horror and sadness on garnets face seeing former crystal gems forced together hurt me deep. im glad tho that things have changed as the series progressed and everythings ok now, but ill never forget that moment.
Seriously, this show moved so many people. It brought us good lessons, flawed characters, and a shockingly realistic portrayal of positive and negative relationships. And, debatably, a hell of a story. I won’t forget this show. Ever. I dread the finale tonight, but I’m glad to say this show has done so much for so many, and will continue to do so as people discover it long after it’s gone.
This show gave me a chance to open myself up to people. To trust people. To help people. Many of us grew up with this show, and. Will never be forgotten. I will always keep this show and its characters close to my heart. I know all of you will too🥺🥺🥺
the scene with what’s the use of feeling blue is one of the saddest scenes to me. it wasn’t as sad when i first watched it but watching it after change your mind makes it much more sad.
This is the show of my childhood and i loved it. I remember this was the only cartoon that ever made me cry when i was a kid.it's what taught me how to be kind and happy. Im glad i grew up with steven universe😊😊😊❤️❤️

I think its quite sad when people don't or haven't given the show a chance. They just criticise the show thinking it for kids cause they see the many colorful characters and refuse to see the show. Yea, I've had many people tell me "Steven Universe is just a show about a fat boy with a gem as his bellybutton that eats ice cream" it's sad how they probably will never realise how great the show is and that it has brought so many people from so many different backgrounds together.

The moment that had to make me emotional was Garnet and Stevonnie singing "Here Comes a Thought". My anxiety has always gotten to me and before my anti-anxiety meds, small things caused me to have a panic attack. Now that I have my husband and all my friends, I know it will all be okay. He has helped me get through so much of my anxiety and several anxiety induced panic attacks. The song really helps me calm down now.

I think we need a part two to this, some scenes from the show that we’re not mentioned really made me burst into tears. Like when Jasper got corrupted and shattered or when Garent found out Pearl was just using her so they could fuse into Sardonyx, and who could forget when Sapphire and Ruby spilt apart after what Pearl did! I mean, just seeing Sapphire cry and Ruby calling herself stupid, just made me burst into tears.

Even with Stevonnie's abilities, I doubt they could last against two dangerous Homeworld Gems. But still, people seemed to side with her; even Lion. I hope the final episodes and Steven's anger show's just how rash THEY were towards him for a change, instead of the other way around
sadlobster1 she was hurt because he broke his promise. You can’t control how people feel no matter how much you want to, but her feelings were very valid for the situation. Is the viewers understand that, and so does Connie, but she’s still hurt that he left.

Of course she was right to be angry, but THAT'S not the way to express it, especially after everything Steven had just been put through. She acted like he did what he did for no reason at all, even though she should know why he did it, because Mindful Education happened, and then expected him to understand why she was feeling hurt and put her feelings before his own (something that he does way more than anyone should and is what caused his downfall) even though he had just escaped from death. And what's even worse is that in "The New Crystal Gems" she calls Lapis and Peridot out on the fact that it must be really hard for him to have to be the adult for a bunch of super powered children, and when he doesn't act like an adult, he's an asshole? Connie should've tried to tell Steven why she was hurt instead of leaving him to wonder along the thousands of other problems he already had, and then should've let him ACTUALLY defend himself and should've tried to drill into his head that he's NOT his mom, that it's NOT his responsibility to solve every bullshit she caused, and that he's NOT an asshole for doing that. And she's the only one who would've been able to do that, because he would NEVER have believed it if it came from the Gems or Greg, because they're part of the problem. Connie was the only person who could've made Steven understand the biggest flaw of his character: allowing himself to become Pink Diamond's/Rose's victim, and feeling like he deserved it, and when she had the chance to do that and repay him for everything he's done for her, she just straight up abandons him for a month? Don't know about you, but that doesn't sound really fair to me.

I was sobbing for a solid 20 minutes after the Kindergarten episode. I loved Amethyst a lot with how outgoing and fun she was. Seeing her wanting to fit in and hate herself just broke me.
The scene that pulled on my heart strings is when Amethyst said, "I never asked ti be made!" I cried for hours. She was my favorite character then and I HATED Pearl after that episode. Now Garnet is my favorite character.
Hard to believe how fast this series went by. I can’t believe how it’s going to end.

I'm surprised that the events of growing pains wasn't on the list. That hit me real hard. Ooh, and fragments. Basically just the most recent episodes of future.
What I found as sad moments regarding each Crystal Gem, aside from Steven:
Garnet: Confused as to how to prepare for millions of possible futures when she wants to enjoy being alive.
Ruby: Sapphire leaving her.
Sapphire: Learning the truth about Rose, which unfused them, and running away to grieve.
Amethyst: Not only never asking to be made, but being called a runt from Jasper and never managing to beat her by herself.
Pearl: Basically everything regarding Rose after she (Pink Diamond) faked her shattering.
Bismuth: Wanting to end the war in a way that came to a disagreement with Rose, which then had her get locked away for years.
Lapis: Being fused as Malachite and wanting to run away from her problems.
Peridot: Lapis leaving her and being disappointed from "The Return of Camp Pining Hearts" reboot.

I have experienced so many traumatic events and steven universe was my only escape.... thank you Rebecca for this amazing show! I'm hoping the fandom won't die so soon. One moment that hit me is when steven realizes his true power and shatters jasper.... that and the whole change your mind episode 😭💜💜💜
One of the saddest moments for me was when Garnet unfused in Now We’re Only Falling Apart. Ruby was so heartbroken and poor Sapphire in What’s Your Problem asking “Oh Pearl, how will I ever get her back?!” when Ruby runs away was so sad. But they did get married in the end so at least there’s that

I love how the show shifts from a silly little cartoon to something deeper. It's like it ages with its audience.
From the original series, one that made me feel incredibly bad (and that I still remember) was probably Lapis' song "That Distant Shore".
From the movie, definitely when Spinel said "I don't get it. Why do I wanna hurt you so bad? I'm supposed to be a friend. I just wanna be your friend".
And from SU Future, the ending of episode 19. When Steven cried his eyes out and hugged Lion it reminded me of a past personal experience and I broke.
I feel like if Rose/Pink Diamond’s Story was presented chronologically rather than the backwards way it was told during the series, we’d view her much differently. We’d empathize with her a little more and be a bit more understanding. But because we were told her story backwards, we viewed her as a good person who was progressively becoming bad when in reality, Pink Diamond was a figuratively broken gem who grew up and learned to value life and was willing to make a great sacrifice to preserve life on a planet she grew to love. Then we saw her as Rose when she started dating Greg. At first she viewed him the way we view puppies; they’re cute and fun but they’re not necessarily the same as us. Yet Greg helps her understand that they need to be on equal terms and she’s willing to listen and learn. All her experiences made her the wise and loving figure that we knew at the beginning.

cARdbOarDFur Draws me when she said those words. They are exactly the same words of those kids who were “born by accident”, even when it’s not since nothing, not even birth, happens without a reason.
For me, the saddest moment was Steven's breakdown, when he turned into that huge pink monster. He spent his all childhood helping everyone, going to a point where he forgot about himself. It pains his friends to see him hurting and struggling to understand his pain and struggling to help himself heal.
seven years my friend... you were my childhood, when I came home from school i remember turning on the tv and watching SU for hours! it’s hard to believe it’s been 7 years with Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, Steven and more gems and people than I can say right now! I remember a little song from SU The Movie, ‘here we are in the future, and it’s wrong’ that is how it feels, it has ended... forever... the theories, the episodes, the mysteries, the emotions, all of that just... it’s never gonna come any new episodes or movies... all I wanna say is; thank you, Steven Universe for my childhood...

I love Connie's but she was being kinda selfish
A lot of people are. And the worst part is that it was so POINTLESS. They could've solved that conflict in like, an episode or two, and instead they wasted almost half the season in that bullshit, instead of focusing on things we ACTUALLY wanted to see, like the fact that Rose might not have shattered Pink Diamond after all, that was a great opportunity to confuse the viewers even more and make the reveal all the more satisfying. Or they could've focused on the fact Lars was currently stranded on space, or the fact that Homeworld was now an imminent threat, or literally ANYTHING ELSE. Seriously, anything would've been more interesting than whatever this bullshit was. How about the Gems? How do they feel about Steven giving himself up? Because this is kind of their fault too. They made him feel like it was his fault Rose was gone, and then made him feel like he should be more like her, and also refused to give him information about Pink Diamond, so why the heck should he trust them with his problems? They weren't acting like a team, and you're telling me that Connie being butthurt was more important than that? Jesus.

Rose being Pink was legit one of the best plot twists I ever witnessed.
a moment that was not only rlly scary, but super emotional was when garnet and steven found the gem experiments that were forced together. and just seeing the horror and sadness on garnets face seeing former crystal gems forced together hurt me deep. im glad tho that things have changed as the series progressed and everythings ok now, but ill never forget that moment.
Spinel or Bismuth should have been number one. Those two were prime examples of how Rose/Pink swept people under the rug.
Seriously, this show moved so many people. It brought us good lessons, flawed characters, and a shockingly realistic portrayal of positive and negative relationships. And, debatably, a hell of a story. I won’t forget this show. Ever. I dread the finale tonight, but I’m glad to say this show has done so much for so many, and will continue to do so as people discover it long after it’s gone.
This show gave me a chance to open myself up to people. To trust people. To help people. Many of us grew up with this show, and. Will never be forgotten. I will always keep this show and its characters close to my heart. I know all of you will too🥺🥺🥺
