Chopsticks are good to use because they force one to slow down and take smaller pieces, but a LOT of foods are not chopstick-friendly. Also, I'm considered good at using chopsticks (here in the US) and use them regularly, but forks are easier to use. It's a question of what you're used to.

same here, besides the combined chopsticks idea, i see em in chinese stores and such but those are for children learning how to use chopsticks, so to me its a bit of a crutch, but i learned on my own and tbh eating at panda express has never felt better till i eat with chopsticks.
