I restarted my Netflix account yesterday to watch Wednesday and have seen the first episode. I enjoyed it immensely! Hearing the performers speak about their views about the characters was extremely helpful in setting the tone for my viewing. One moment in particular stood out to me. When Wednesday enters the pool room to defend her brother, she pauses for the briefest of moments, not even a second, as if she is moving through the intimidation projected by the athletes. After steeling her nerves the full force of her confidence is on display. That set her persona in my mind for the rest of the episode, which is in part about her learning to question that confidence as well as explaining some of the things in her past that put it into place. Discussing her life with a counselor, the recounting of the death of her pet scorpion, attempts upon her life, and learning that not everyone can be bought are all marvelous examples of discovering how and when confidence is needed as well as when confidence can be a negative contribution to social life.
Jenna comes across as genuine, intelligent and professional - mixed with burtons impeccable aesthetics you have something quite unique. Only time can tell whether Netflix manages to mess this one up too...
This is as entertaining as the whole show. It’s so great to hear from every actor and authors the breakdown of the story, the characters, and what each of them think about the whole experience. They are all so talented. Jenna, not only she’s gorgeous, eloquent but also monstrously talented!!
Lovely interview, good questions and obviously Jenna is an absolute legend. I wasn't big Adams Family fan but I really like Tim Burton and the vibe of his work so I was really excited to see Wednesday. After the show I can only say that I can't wait for the second season. What a delightful show.
I like what Jenna said when she was talking about how it's ok to be rude and sarcastic when you're a child since you don't know any better, but you have to grow up eventually. I have a friend who got a job at McDonalds a few months ago. She's 24 and she's had a temper since i met her when she was 12. She told me she's given her boss so many reasons to fire her because of that temper. Looking back, i wish i'd told her that she needs to keep her temper in check in certain environments.
Ms.Ortega is truly a team player- she doesn't hesitate to give praise to All crew...but...let's not forget that her her intense, unique talents make this show success as it is....she & director are the ultimate Stars.....

Tim Burton established the essential character, while Directors Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson develope the direction of the characters. Where each individual is fighting for his or her place within their own world. That is very interesting. ❤😂💝
I don't how much there is of Wednesday in Jenna, but after seeing this interview I can definitely conclude that there's awful lot of Jenna in Wednesday.
Hold your head Jenna, your doing n amazing job don't burden yourself too much on how your performance is being betrayed or critiqued or it it's living up to this or that, you already have a lot going into this workload as is,.. just stay true to your vision and lighten up and have fun doing it keep in mind there's many different story lines for so many of our iconic characters and life is full of different anomalies who knows where any of us would be if we made a different chose or action here or there.
I used to look forward to watching "Stuck in the Middle" with Jenna Ortega when it first premiered on Disney Channel back in 2016. But years before she left her days at Disney behind, I was excited about the prospect of seeing Jenna play Lydia's daughter in "Beetlejuice 2" in 2024. At that time, I had no idea who she was! Even when "Wednesday" came out on Netflix, she was dancing while wearing a dress. That was pretty sweet!
sometimes I feel Jenna is most of the time suppressing a smile, like it's uncool lol that's the vibe I get from her also she's an incredible actress, I saw Jane the V but never actually paid attention to her in that TV show, Wednesday def made my mind blown because she really smashed it.
