Beautiful video. It's a shame the city destroyed some of its most stunning architectural treasures.

That blue house on the left at 2:47...I used to live there when I was a kid (1975-1983) There is an awesome cubby-hole just above the stairs going in the back door; we were also the ones who installed the spiral staircase. Those times, and that neighbourhood were awesome. So many memories flooding back!!

It seems that things looked nicer back in the day and the streets were filled with people. Now you only see cars and crackheads

Because architects and city planners back in the day actually cared about beauty and how it uplifts people. Not like today

Nice to have some visual historic comparisons of areas regarding our previous City Of Berlin now City Of Kitchener.

I grew up in the blue house at 2:47 (1975-1983...it was white then, and didn`t have a red door) That was an awesome neighbourhood. My childhood sweetheart just lived on the other side of Hibner park. I remember drinking from the fountain and when the pine tree was planted (it`s massive now) Going down the back alleys, picking plums and apples from the trees; the local corner stores; Halloween; Christmas celebrations at Hibner park; the good ol`KPL; Queen St. Park where we attached the old school picnic tables to the swings and rode it like a boat; St.Mary`s; Zappers and Flynn`s arcade; Oktoberfest at the Vahalla Inn; all those movie theaters....and the abandoned house just over on Margaret St., 100m away from my sweet grandmas apartment, which we were sure was haunted!! I`m 43 now, have been in Tokyo for 20 years, but my body is aching to rehash those old times. You can never go back, but when I do go back this Summer I am going to take my 7yo daughter on a walking tour of my old stomping grounds!! Sorry for blathering, but truly, there is no place like home!!

The Kitchener market at 1:30 says 1940, but the cars in the picture are clearly 1920's, maybe some 30's.

Remember during the World War Two 1939 to 1945 there where no automobile production for the public. All the car factories where making vehicles and ammunition for the war.You will not see any vintage cars on those years. It was about 1948 when they started making vehicles to the public again.

There should be a way to mount our old city hall clock tower to the new city hall. Out of the way of vandals and reminiscent of our city's heritage.

Still a beautiful city, but impressive how badly they managed to mutilate it
