22/11/2024: I went back tot the shelter last night, to see old faces, the gym I played away my sorrows. I gave a talk, there were tears, and they gave me $75 for my troubles ($25 of which were spent on donuts). I'm think now of Aida, from 6 years back, who I made listen to Ida Red by Anna & Elizabeth - wonder how she's doing
Odd song this from the singing of Texas Gladden - the tune is identical and the words almost identical to Hobart Smith's version of 'Cuckoo bird'; and Hobart Smith was her brother. How come the different titles between them? Nevertheless, a beautiful performance.
