Absolutely, I was thinking the same for insulation in the doors.

Awesome setup. Pretty fancy stuff. I tested some of those 100 Watt solar panels and they only put out 60 watts per panel. So same result as your panels. 😅

OMG insulate the doors, are you going to insulate the doors? You should insulate the doors. Why didn't you insulate the doors? Has anyone told you to insulate the doors? GEEZ

lol. Yeah, if only someone would tell Jay to insulate the doors!

Insulate the Solar Shed Doors with 2 inch Foam Insulation Material = The Purple Color works great for Shed Walls, Ceilings, Doors and Roll Up Garage Doors.

    Great video.
Suggestion... put red tape on the ends of the positive cables where it comes in from array. It will remind you down the line 😊😊

Man I'm so happy for you you got you an awesome system now.. 300 amp hours at 48 volts is massive... You do have way more batteries than panels now😂.. but I think you'll be okay maybe you can add some more panels in the future. The great thing about it is it won't hurt them batteries to run them flat dead all the time and they're still going to last you 15 years.

Jay don't forget to insulate the doors! Once they are closed it would be easy to get busy elsewhere and forget the doors! ❤❤

One thing you may want to look at is the time it starts and stops charging. It depends on the minimum voltage from the panels. But it would be good for others to know if they may be on the edge of charging and not get the batteries charging until an hour or two hours after the sun hits the panels as an example.
You should also pick up 10 to 20 efficiency from charging sla to lithium. A lot of lost energy charging lead acid batteries.

If the voltage is not high enough for your inverter, you can add some maybe all to the other string as long as it doesn't have too high of voltage. The lowest amp panel will determine the amps of the combined strings. Check voltage before turning on. Also do not forget that lower temps will increase voltage.

    @JR-xw5dk 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

You can hook up the other solar panels with a separate charge controller. If one of your old charge controllers will charge at 48 volts, you should be able to use it.
    Glad you got the upgrade.

Awesome! Which one on the link you posted is the bundle you all have? We have nothing except a gas generator and a few years old 1300w rockwell solar generator. We really want to install something that we can keep in a solar shed and something that could run a refrigerator and a deep freezer. Also, random question... what software do you use to edit videos? I think i want to take your advice and video journal our journey.

Hope you read the manual. Yes.. master, slave, slave. I'm pretty sure the com cable is backwards. It needs to be from the master to the inverter. Good luck. I recently upgraded my batteries and now have four 400ah in series. I bought the Li Time lithiums. 2400w of pv. Lacking sun hours, but am offgrid.6cl'

Your're suppose to balance your battery by charging all to 100% independently then placing in parallel.

Don’t forget to insulate & concrete board the doors. How is the summer heat going to affect electrical system? Will you have to add an electronically operated vent system? I’m sure just like too much cold, too much heat can kill batteries.

Wowzer, they are so pretty and tidy to look at! Honestly, I'm excited to see this and how quick and easy it looked to connect. What a HUGE benefit too to be able to run the a/c for hot nights and the mini split to help heat the place while the fire gets going. I'm excited to see how it improves life for you!

Looks like a good system and the build quality appears to be good but I'm also skeptical of the electrical quality because it comes from China. I would feel much better if it was designed and built in the USA or Germany. I hope this system performs well and lasts for years. Waiting on the new solar panel upgrade! Thanks for the video.
