To bind the transmitter and receiver you usually turn the transmitter (remote control) on first before the car, the red light on controller should flash, then press and hold the button on the cars reciver until the headlights flash, the headlights should stop flashing when bound correctly. This should be the case out of the box unless you have bought a replacement transmitter then you will have to re-bind the new transmitter and receiver using the instructions in the manual, hope this helps otherwise I'll be able to have a look at mine tomorrow😉
