How else was he meant to react lol
Hard of hearing does not mean completely deaf.
@@devianadkar7969 it also doesn't mean that someone who is hard of hearing can hear enough to carry on a coherent conversation. The challenge for them may be just as bad as someone who is deaf depending on the environment, the person speaking, if theyre in a state of anxiety etc. Therefore he may or may not have heard her.
“ he can live like a pig in his house “
HAHAHAHAH
I LOVE HER
This was one of those cases where the defendant barely had to say a word and let the plaintiff sink themselves. And the defendant was able to walk away with a counterclaim of $3,000! Not too shabby! 😀
That level of entitlement to live rent free in someone else's house is just unreal. I can't believe ppl like that actually exist
Not only did she want to live rent free but she wanted him to pay her when she didn’t pay rent for 5 months lol. She is extremely delusional. Even if the judge did rule that he owed her for overcharging her they would have to deduct the 5 months she didn’t pay so she would have still ended up with nothing lol
The stress she caused him..must have been terrible. Little witch.
She’s lucky Judge Judy was deeling patient on that day. You could tell from her face she didn’t give a crap at what Judge Judy had to say. Glad she got her comeuppance. 👍👍
If entitlement was a person 😹 The plaintiff is tripping now she has to pay. Good!
She’s a straight squatter. Don’t rent to this girl . Glad he won
This is a nice example of digging you're own grave without even trying.
There's an awful lot of people living in Los Angeles to say that the only place anybody can live is that dude's house. The queue for the bathroom must be massive.
The sense of self-entitlement is strong in this one. Charge her rent, Landlord should not. Lol 😆
May the force be with you.
Even if a person's landlord is completely in the wrong, never stop paying rent until a court orders a rent abatement. Resorting to self-help isn't looked upon kindly in court.
Perfectly said
No, you should not continue to pay rent. But you should deposit your rent every month in a separate bank account so that you can show you had the ability to pay rent.
Isn't the definition of living somewhere without paying rent squatting?
Yessssss! Our last property manager tried to be slick with us before we purchased our home. My husband paid the rent anyway plus our FIRST late fee. Just so they could not complain (1) About us leaving. We were one of the few tenants who paid ON TIME and during COVID. (2) So they could not make a claim to the courts. You will always be in good standing. Great advice.
@@DD-d6d3 no one cares about your ability to pay rent. What courts care about is whether you honor your contractual agreements. Taking your landlord to court for failing to honor his contractual obligations while not honoring yours won't fly in front of a judge.
I friggin' love Judge Judy :) I been watching since 95 or 96 ❤
This right here is why I love Judge Judy. As hard as she is on a grifter she's fair to an honest person.
Plaintiff has an uptight "it's all about me" attitude. In a normal court the judge would have laced her for the way she was standing, jiggling, shaking her head. Self-centered and egotistical.
Oh dear lord this people .. no you don't have the right to live in anyone's property without paying for it! 🤦♂ it is very straightfoward!
It baffles me that she thought she could live rent free for that long as a renter.
It doesn’t matter why you stayed, the point is that you stayed. You stayed so you gots to pay! Period!
1:05 THAT EYE BLINK I STARTED CRY LAUGHING OH MY GOSH 🤣 What I love about Judge Judy is that she gives verbal ASS WHOOPINGS to people who have gotten away with too much their entire lives without anyone ever giving them consequences for it.
Lord help our future. . .the plaintiff is a PROBLEM. A person that cannot be reasoned with makes for a very toxic relationship
There's no relief in sight the coloreds are multiplying as we speak .
Go to your colleges. That's the entitlement that is being espoused. Especially but not only to minorities.
Imagine being in a relationship with the plaintiff 😳whom is verbally pugilistic and can’t listen.
Exactly what I said. God help whoever wanders into that trap.
Good choice of words there, “verbally pugilistic.”
Judge Judy you dispense justice better than anyone I've ever seen in my entire life. You are the absolute BEST there is.
Doesn't listen, a ton of excuses, combative and terrible attitude. What a shock!
Well, that backfired... $300 a month in any major city is a STEAL. Hell, even $600. She really only had 2 choices. 1) Deal with the circumstances because the rent was so cheap or 2) Pay 3x as much to not live in someone else's house
exactly
I’m a landlord. I rarely raise rent because the cost of getting a new tenant, a couple of months empty, cleaning and painting, brokers commission etc will wipe out the increase. So usually I raise rent ever 4 years., if they are willing to stay.
I’m mad because JJ really was too patient with her but the end was lovely
Oh, she thought she was in NYC and could tie up that landlord with complaints and stalling. Everywhere aint NYC.
I have NEVER seen Judge Judy be this patient with a person in her courtroom. That little girl needs to get an education and learn the laws of the land. She appears to have a steep learning curve ahead of her.
Dont you just love when they sue and end up being the ones who have to pay?! I do! She really thought not paying all those months was okay she talking over the judge was gonna work. 😂
I usually find them annoying but I would've loved to hear the exit interviews for this case.
I'll do it for ya... They put the mic up and she said,
"Ah they lied tho.... Psshhh..." And walked away.
Depressing to watch and even more depressing to think I’ve actually met people like this recently. Giving her generation a bad rep.
It's not just her generation . It is all the coloreds who are like that .
Yeah I usually look at one person and say “they must represent ‘em all”
She’s shaking because she’s angry Lmaoooo
The way she said NO after judge Judy asked her if she paid rent for those 5 months…. Her entitlement is disgusting 🤢
Her neck is broken..when I see ignorant people with their heads sideways like they were two effing years old. This world is sad lol.
The plaintiff seems like a very unlikable person. I love the defendant's selective hearing is hilarious.
She’s a gem.
That's not how I would characterize her, but point taken.
How?
@@TommieGun71 It's called sarcasm
Sort of horror who gives women a bad name. I resent that!!!
I think given her height, weight and clothing, this girl is on here to get exposure for modeling. I can’t imagine why he rented to her unless she somehow hid that attitude.
This girl doesn't have an ounce of logic in her head!! What part of "A single family (Residential) home is not subjected to rent control" doesn't she understand...She's trying to complain to Housing about a Residential house not being fit for her LMAOOO
She said there was a second unit being rented in the backyard. If that was the case, he would be subject to rent stabilization.
Out of all things you found that funny maybe she just thought like any place you rent once agreement is in place it's final especially when it comes to the amount you pay but lesson learned don't rent from a private renter let they ass deal with own mortgage problem their damn self
@@anikarcand9078 A second unit, or a ADU does not make it a commercial dwelling. I’m in the business of real estate I know my facts
@@kaylee3867 how do you know the old man had mortgage problems? I bet his house was paid off… i’m laughing at the fact that she had no case, if she would’ve just left the old man alone she wouldn’t have to pay $3000 in backpay.
@@DonGrigorianFishing but it said single family home, would it still fall under that category if there were two units being rented on the same property?
The look of entitlement comes off her from the moment she stepped into court. Wow
Yes, in part 1 her body language screamed "attitude", especially her facial expression.
Wonder what she’s like at work?
The fact that she feels like she was entitled to live in HIS house for all of those months rent free after the county said that he has a right to raise the rent is mind boggling to me.
Her thought process exposes her maturity level. This poor old man opened his home to her and she’s being extremely difficult. I agree you should just move if you don’t like where you are renting. She stopped paying rent all those months, girl 🤫. You have legal rights to stay somewhere you paid NO RENT 🤔 Oh man help this child, she could have left well enough alone.
She is going to have a tough life, (entitled) if she continues to think like this...
Gotta love when the sense of entitlement is so strong and then the tables turn on said entitled person.
1:17 The look on the Defendant's witness' face makes me laugh out loud everytime I watch this case😂.
Gotta Love Judge Judy.
4:16 imagine telling a judge what you have legal rights to do and not do.
Wow judge was so patient this time
The plaintiff doesn’t listen, she rambles, and she has such an entitled attitude.
That is probably the way she was raised.
Love when Judge Judy slaps that entitlement right off that pouty face. 😂
When the judge brought up the example of the steak, one is reminded of the famous breakfast question.. especially due to the response when this example was brought up.
Judge Judy really had a lot of patience to hear her out, most people wouldn't get the chance to waste her time for so long
The plaintiff "I understand what you reading, but I'm telling you"... no you're arguing with a judge and that isn't going to fly.
One thing I had to learn when I first moved out on my own, if you're on a budget, you can't be picky. $600 is bargain rent, especially for LA.
Thanks for that information Judge Judy.
1:05 JJ face 🤣🤣🤣 she was like this bum can’t be serious
This is the same 'lady' that climbs through the drive thru window because they forgot to put 3 containers of ranch in her bag.
Lmao
😂🤣😂
Are you serious??? This is her?
Sounds like someone should’ve warned her about JJ before she decided to use “I had nowhere else to go” as her line of defense.
I hope this humbled her, bc with with her good looks and style, she can go far if grows up
I don’t know how she didn’t have a place to go since she wasn’t paying rent she could have used that money to go rent somewhere else
You can tell she is complicated. Since she didn’t get her way, now she is throwing the living conditions…
This is how a lot of people go through life, this is the way people treat their partners in relationships. The entitlement of people these days is incredible.
@@tubester4567 yes
Whooa.... This lady is a real piece of work!!
Woman NOT lady .
Judge Judy always set people straight n that’s why I love Watchin her
His place is not safety at all!!
🤣
I know she regret bringing him to court now smh 🤦♀️
I suspect the daughter got behind her father to evict her and motor mouth was being vindictive.
She painted a picture for herself that’s far from reality. Think she’ll be a lot of trouble for herself and others in the future, she doesn’t want to listen
“I stayed and didn’t pay rent because he threw me out” she ate the steak 😂
JJ loves her steak analogy, you'd think a waitress would understand lol
Can you imagine dating this girl....she won't shut up and listen
That would be a nightmare
