It depends on the era to imo: 1. Early 90s-hip hop/rap, ice ice baby and you can't touch this 2. Mid 90s-grunge, nirvana and green day say it all 3. Late 90s-pop and boy bands
As I watch this video all I hear and can visualize is that lady in the blue jogging suit.. "Now that's hip hop." LOL The Bart Simpson/Creep is my go to!
I went to Mexico in college for spring break. It was March 1994. The Macarena was played in every club, usually more than once a night. We learned the dance, and it was fun for a few days. But, by the end of the week, we had heard it enough and were over it. Over a year later, it blew up in the USA. I tried telling people that they would hate themselves for getting sucked into the craze. They didn’t believe me until about a month later.
Not me wondering why the Electric Slide got left out, only to discover that it dates from the 70s 😱 We were definitely still dancing that in the 80s/90s! Also, you know you're old when your kids learn the Macarena in gym class at school 😂
@@StopBeingRacist Lol, no, we had the internet and chat rooms and websites in ‘95. Every house in America had 10 unwanted installation discs from AOL to make sure.
Anyone who is reading this I pray that whatever you are consistently stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts and overthinking, the doubt exit your mind right now. May replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill in your life. 🙏
Whigfeild has amazing dance craze as well, Saturday Night, I am surprised you didn't mention that, it's similar to the Macrina but the only difference is the hands on the right and left side instead of straight plus clap, I play it every Saturday night
Pretty straight forward moves! Lol why were so many people terrible at them! Those people in that first cabbage patch video were awful! 😂 everyone can’t do those dances! Give it a try though.
Can ya'll please do 80's, 90's & 2000's dance that ppl still today. Ppl still do the Electric Slide. I see that dance all the time. Especially at weddings.
@@jennifermercer3481 Oh, ok. I remember that dance. That dance song was played sometimes while I was in probably kindergarten or around that time, which was during the mid '90s when I was in pre-K, kindergarten & first grade. Nevertheless, classic nostalgic '90s dance moves. Love 'em.
Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus even got a cover in Spanish called “No Rompas Más (mi Pobre Corazón)” by grupera band Caballo Dorado… and all Mexican parties play that song!!! 🤩
All I recall of the 90s dancing was Macarena. None compared to the beauty, elegance and class of the 1970s disco and hustle. Disco music may have been crap but the dances were gorgeous, but the rap thing, kicking and throwing legs everywhere looks more like people having tantrums.
iconic for macarena so is sprinkler but anyone can do it also cha cha slide the bunny hop the worm or even the conga 90's might have some iconic moves but any era does too
Came for the MC Hammer bit in the thumbnail, but disappointing video over all. And how do you have over 4 million subs but less than 100 comments? Very telling...
Notwithstanding the economic crisis and global pandemic (lockdown) ravaging the world 🌎... multiple income streams is the best way to survive the current hardship and recession.the poor Masses needs to spend and invest wisely.
Perfectly said and I believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don’t know who agrees with me but either way I recommend either real estate or crypto and stocks
The best decision I ever made in life was investing in financial markets. Trust me it pays a lot. And I've come to realize that trading Cryptocurrency is more profitable than holding it and wait for it to skyrocket
So basically this entire list (with the exception of the Macarena) are dance moves created and popularized by Black Americans in the ‘90s, and appropriated by everyone else.

Whigfeild- Saturday Night, it's a lot of fun and a great excericise
The Cha-Cha Slide was also a very popular dance in the 90’s. I would did it at parties, weddings and even once at the circus.
One of my favorites
That was 2000s, I remember when it came out 🤔
@@SupergirlUK the song was introduced in the early 2000’s but the original dance came out in the late 90’s.

@g.anthony2725 no, not negative, they would've not put it in the list if it wasn't the 90s, they have a good reason
MC Hammer for "Can't touch me" all time favorite.
Thank you for giving Digital Underground some props. They have never been given the love and respect they deserve.

Anyone else feel old for not only knowing these dances but remembering when they first came out!

It's an American list, really.
