Wilson, a native of Amite, is a famous Cajun cook and storyteller. He discusses: his childhood; his comedic influences; the origins of his stories; how he handles a variety of audiences; the Cajun lifestyle and sense of humor; and his serious traffic accident and resulting narcotics addiction.

    Great program. Mr. Wilson was a remarkable man -- intelligent, funny, kind, and dignified. I watched him on public TV growing up and still miss him.

    I was a little kid watching his show with my mother. Rediscovered him as an adult. The more he talks in this interview the more I would love to see a film about his life.

    He still looked good in this interview. If it would've been possible to have had 3 grandfather's I wish he could've been one of mine!!!!!!!! Love you Mr. Justin, may you rest in peace and never be forgotten!!!!!! You would be proud to know many people are still watching your shows and loving them, God Bless.

    I met Mr. Wilson in Dallas in the 1990s and it was truly an honor. He was the most congenial man I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

    He used to be my son’s favorite chef. My son is an adult now and says he doesn’t remember when we couldn’t miss a weekly episode. But I do. “ Guarantee!”

    I found him by searching Justin Wilson Indy car crash, and being from NB, Canada, and having an Acadian Grandmother, I find him profound. He instills all the Acadian virtues, and he is proud of it. I am so glad I stumbled across him accidentally

    3:30 where he forgets to put the accent on, wow! I never heard his real voice until this moment, I loved watching him as a boy, 35 years ago.

    I'm ashamed to say i just found out about Mr Wilson as i am not from the USA, when people talk about have charisma i think its fair to say Justin had it by the bucket loads.

    So his TV show was a concocted character. I never knew that. The babbling Cajun can hardly speak French lol. Amazing. Fooled me for years.
