Hidden Blade Factory 3D Printed AC3 Connor

Most of you know me as a collector of Sonic Screwdrivers from Doctor Who but, fans of my channel also have seen my lightsabers, Star Trek Props and replicas, swords and armor, my adorable dog, etc. I'm also a huge fan of the Assassins Creed Game series. Since I enjoy attending Renaissance Festivals dressed in full garb as well as cosplaying at conventions, the character trappings of the AC games lend themselves well. Ezio's telescoping blade and the Frye Twins hidden blades from Syndicate have always attracted my eye but Connor's blade from AC3 added a new element that was brilliant - it could rotate from straight to hand held. That adds some difficulties to reproduce in costume pieces but Hidden Blade Factory tackled that amazingly well!
This quick outdoor video shows the function of the assembled 3D print; able to not only extend and retract, via the same pull action, but also the smooth rotation of the dagger once extended. Magnets hold the dagger in place and the action all around is reliable. For one of the less expensive printed builds I find this very impressive. Do note this is a cosplay only item. I would not use this for fight choreography and any attempts at "real" use of it would break it.
I've already given HBF my assessments on design and suggested some tweaks to make it even better for future patrons. All in all, an excellent piece for a surprisingly low price. I'm looking forward to reviewing more of his work in the future.
