after the wedding is over and everyone is dancing, you see your best-friend and their wife/husband dancing, they look in each other’s eyes and you can tell you were to late.
This makes me think of the dream I had one day. I had a really bad fever and slept almost an entire two days. During one of those sleep sessions, I felt like I was living another life. I was older and lived somewhere else, but I had a wife. I dreamed of coming back from work every day and she would cook me different dinners. One day, a baby appeared and we became the happiest little family ever. I remember looking I to her beautiful brown eyes and holding her, feeling her warmth with our son in between. We went to the park and sometimes we stayed at home taking care of the baby. One day I was concerned and didn't feel good. As I was fading away I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine looking very concerned with tears forming in her eyes making them gleam and look brighter. She told me to not forget them no matter what as I started losing my vision and blurring out. I woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night trying to remember more details about my life with my family but the more I tried to remember, the more I would forget. Now I only remember the emotions I felt and the things I told myself to remember. I haven't gone back and it kills me to wonder if any of that was as real as it felt. I want to see my family again.

What I imagine:

Its late night, the stars are out shining so bright. You’re with the person you’re in love with in a car that’s overlooking a lake. This song faintly playing on the radio as you both smoke weed together it sounds like this because you’re both so high you look at them and they look at you in the eyes as you both smile at each other, they smile harder and lean over slowly and whisper in your ear “I think I’m in love with you” and lean in to kiss you. You feel sober from the kiss as you lock lips so much bliss you both smile during it and after you put your head on their shoulder. Smiling and holding hands because you both feel the love that’s so strong and the sense of relief from both feeling the same about each other and not being rejected.

You didn't know your significant other was a psychopath, you've been dating him/her for a quite a long time. Didn't catch a glimpse of any hints he/she was showing any craziness for as long as you guys were dating. You were so happy together, like a normal couple in love, he/she was innocent and lovely.
But your family disapprove of your relationship with him/her, they found some oddly suspicious on your significant other and keep telling/begging you to break up with him/her, but you denied their offer that you love him/her the way they were. You and your family argued. But what you didn't know that your significant other in the background planning on something, pissed looking. You were done arguing and pulled him/her out of the house leaving your family and find somewhere to stay with your lover.
The other following day, you felt guilty for throwing your anger on your family. You didn't mean to, so today, you were about to go back to your family to apologize for what you did. Your lover was nowhere to be seen, you got worried but shrugged it off anyways.
You drove your car back to your family's house but something felt uneasy for you to come back, you got out of the car and reached the front door. You had your key to the house and you came inside slowly to find the living room was quiet and dark. "That's strange" you mumbled and turned on the lights and there you stood frozen.
There's your family, lying on the ground, blood splattered everywhere across the room and your family was lying on the pool of blood. You can't move, you can't even do anything, your voice is gone, mixed emotions were overwhelming you. Who did this? Why would they do this? What did they do wrong? Tears began to build-
"Hey honey! Didn't know you came" You slowly looked at your partner standing next to the kitchen. Blood covered his/her whole body, smiling so sinisterly but yet so innocently. You want to lash out your anger for killing them, but again, you can't do anything but stay.
"Aww don't look so sad, sweetheart! How about we dance so you'll cheer up?" He/she went to the record player to play *this song* and pulled you to the middle of the room where your family's spot.
You can't even look at their pale faces and you felt numb and nauseous, your limbs don't even work anymore. Felt like you became a puppet but still alive, he/she held you and dance slowly. Resisting to look on his/her face, dare to expose your eyes to your family's dead body.
Your body went cold and just follow whatever your partner is doing now, you felt hopeless and clueless. You can only hear him/her humming to the song.
Now you're crying for the loss of your family and stayed with your lover.

I just broke up with the love of my life a few weeks ago. I just started college and got my first real job. Life has shifted into a completely new phase yet I have to live it without my true love. This video reminds me of one of the first times we ever hung out in freshman year. Sitting on a bench in the park, watching the sun set on a chilly autumn night.
