@Mbu Oyum Official, I loved the cultural rythm of your music growing up as a child and reconnected with it at my mom's funeral in July 2021. Little did I know that Ekou means death. I may not understand the language, but your music brings some degree of comfort and pain, but above all, that she's in a better place. Thank you
within the crux of the the culture of the kembong people lies the undying desire for peace. your musique 'Ekou' comes as a rot bearer, emphatically stressing tthe need and urgency of peace coz 'Ekou' can creep in at any time. Mbu oyoum , the ejagham poet has echoed this in his musique.
