This is a really cool feature for the triton. You can really make any type of key blade from anything. It has measurements to turn just a plain square blank into a center milled like an older bmw or the slight side mill on a hu101 ford. Really is a great option. You can stock only non transponders and make them into flip keys anytime as long as your careful with your measurements. Love that triton! #LockBoss
I had to do this very thing shortly after I got my Triton Ultimate Package - it worked like a champ and saved my backside! Thanks, PJ! Great video! #AccessLockKeyLLC #HaulinBrass #LockBoss
Shame that the strattec plain metal blank costs more than a shell. #lockboss. Even more fun when you have to make other regular blades in to flip blades.
Great video. Tip, load up in metal test keys then you’ll have a full metal key. Another tip is on a 2016 Chev Colorado for example you can use a Xhorse flip, Gm 46E chip in housing (don’t clone), cut the blade, program Xhorse remote in using scan tool and also program key chip in and the Colorado has a flip remote now. #24HrAutoLocksmithAndRepair
I use my manual machine and it's way much faster and as for the roll pin I simply put the key in the remote and use a 1.5 m drill bit to drill through the hole that the roll pin goes in . I always try to work fast because most of my customers are always in a hurry.
That is awesome. Great to know. Question, will you need charge extra for the extra work? But that is a great #Lockboss skills. To bad my Triton doesn't have that option. My is the 1st generation
Don't get me wrong ,when I get a Triton I will have this jaw to cover my butt, that's what I think it's role is to not leave that job undone. Not to make blades from your test key.@@clksupplies
Always good to have other options but, It does appear to be tedious and time consuming. Unfortunately, this #Lockboss doesn't have a Triton yet, so I don't have that option. Great video except I didn't quite get the adding 1.5 mm concept.
#LockBoss This may sound weird, but most boys between the ages of 4 to 10 usually collect Base Ball Cards and Hot Wheels. Me, it was keys. My parents had frisk me before going out so I wouldn't be carrying keys in my pocket. My Grandfather use to find keys all over and save them for My favorite were Ford and Sargent lock keys. I was also fond of BEST, except I never had anything a few years ago when found a BEST Padlock and put in cabinet for a couple years later I bought a Best Lock with Operating Key, and I was and have core made up with a new Ctrl. Key.
Can Canadians enter the #LOCKBOSS draws if we drive say 8 hrs to pick up prizes at your shop?? I start Locksmith training in Sept and this would be an amazing addition to my shop.
Also, I'm curious how well it'd work to keep one of each of the flip blade ones on hand as well as a cheap laser duplicator, and use that to trim the blade down. I kinda want to try that with my cheapo duplicator and see how well it works.
Since I don’t own a Triton, I’m not going to worry about a feature that I don’t have available. Great for Triton owners, but I’ll continue to live without it. #Lockboss
Great option , But think your going to cut flip keys with it , I think you already did the math. PJ could have made that key with a Dremel and a grinder faster. Cutting a key from a Honda blank takes forever and who has that time. Break glass in case of Emergency ! If you have this as a backup your good, the rest of us better buy more keys. #Lockboss

A REALLY Great Feature for the #LOCKBOSS. That Triton + is an AWESOME MACHINE.
Triton for the Win! Awesome to save keys and get creative to finish the job. Thanks PJ #Lockboss
I don't do automotive but I like watching and learning new things thanks, PJ. #Lockboss
The potential of the Triton never ceases to amaze. Great demonstration of that option. Thanks, #Lockboss PJ.
As someone who's had to do this by hand before, that's really cool! Saves a lot of anguish! #LockBoss
This triton looks like such an awesome machine! Thanks for the video PJ and crew. #Lockboss
Another great thing that the Triton can do. Another reason to put the Triton on my wish list
#Lockboss
Awesome video!!!!!
Cool Beans !!!!!! I like that feature on the machine ... Learned about the math today , it's a new one on me ??? #LockBoss
Man this is awesome. Showing the true craft behind locksmithing. Nice work! #lockboss
I had to do this very thing shortly after I got my Triton Ultimate Package - it worked like a champ and saved my backside! Thanks, PJ! Great video! #AccessLockKeyLLC #HaulinBrass #LockBoss
Oh nice!! -PJ
I like the way you showed the stuff that's not in the textbook. That's real life. #Lockboss
That is a cool trick if you are in a pinch. Thanks for another great video PJ! #lockboss

Another great video, I always file things , that triton is the boss. #lockboss
That is a different way of doing it and a good to see #LOCKBOSS

Great Video! Thanks PJ. #Lockboss
That is awesome! One of these days I'll justify the purchase of a Triton Plus. #Lockboss
Thanks CJ I called your shop and asked them to ask you to make this haha #Lockboss
They told me you did so I got to work! -PJ
That is awesome. Great to know.
Question, will you need charge extra for the extra work? But that is a great #Lockboss skills.

They had a deal on a upgrade but I don't know if it's worth it or still around depends on your needs.
It depends, this method is really best if you miscut a key and don’t have a spare blade, in that case at least the customer is good to go! -PJ

Good info to know since getting a replacement key to Alaska could take between 5 days and two weeks. #lockboss
#Lockboss Nice machine!!

Agreed -PJ
Good stuff #Lockboss
I have actually had to do this before and just did it all by hand and measurements. #Lockboss
So you’re telling me that I need to buy a Triton Plus instead of extra flip key blades? LOL Always good to have #Lockboss options.
Haha -PJ
Very cool. #Lockboss
That's a cool trick, #lockboss

Why not use the tool you guys carry for extracting chips? Wouldn't that work just as well as a dremel, without the mess?
#lockboss

It will work fine seen it done and faster because your just making a copy machine doesn't know what your coping.@@bstrickler
Yes, I could have.. I like to mix it up tho -PJ
When you don’t have what you need you just have to make it. #lockboss
Awesome info! It would be really handy if you're mobile and run in to that situation. #Lockboss

Yeah, figured I would a more challenging experiment -PJ
Not worth all that time to create a new blade.
Much easier to just have inventory
True, it’s just one of many options -PJ
