Wow. These guys are incredible. Just in case we didn't know which Region is best.

Spencer Gambrell times at that level don’t matter that much. Back in 2000, when I won the state championship at 1600 in class 5A (biggest class back then) I won with 4:12. I had ran as fast as 4:02 rather consistently that year...but so had others. And others with faster kicks than me. I played my race the smart way, I knew I had to take the sting out of their legs slowly, so that by the time the end of the race came, they’d not know their legs were dead. See I had stamina because I trained hard and I believed in my training, I won that day because I poured my heart into a plan and I executed it to the T.

@@Electric_Sherlock None of that changes that the three guys from region 3 just placed 1,2, and 4 in the state. These are the top 4 times in the state this year anyway, so congrats on your state victory but I'm not sure what your argument is.

Spencer Gambrell no argument. And not taking anything away from these young hardworking men. People just get caught up too often in “time”. Sure it has lots to do with records etc, but honestly nothing to do with winning. I’m saying that “time” doesn’t matter at certain levels. Because there are levels where the talent is equal and it’s about strategy and heart. Great video, great sport and I appreciate the congrats. Long live the runners!
