    Great tips Captain. Totally agree. That's the way it is. Good sailors are always learning. I'm sure that you will enjoy the 46 even more than the 42. Fair winds!

    Hey Ed. this one was a killer episode. Very good to hear from people that have been through the process. This week I've talked to you and Márcio from Veleiro Biguá about your impressions on the L42, as both of you have sailed this boat. Very good info from you both.Thanks for sharing.

    Greetings from California, Capitan! I am also from Brazil and enjoyed watching your videos. My husband and I plan to purchase a Catamaran to start our circumnavigation journey in 2022. We are planning to charter a Cat early next year to start getting some hands on experience! Hopefully we will run into each other one of these days! 😄
    I wish you many more enjoyable times on board of your new Lagoon 46!

    Hi, do you think solar is important? Mostly for costal sailing. Thanks

    • @SailingJoy
      @SailingJoy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends. If you’re are going to return to a Marina everyday and connect to shore power than in my opinion it would not be important but if you plan to stay out and want to have your batteries recharged without the need to turn the engine or generator on for a long time than it is very important. I hope this helps but if you need anything else don’t hesitate to reach out again. All the best.

      @@SailingJoy we are in process of purchasing a catamaran, because we live in California, there are limited inventories and dealerships of catamaran, so far we only toured a lagoon 46. We also like FP and Leopard. We are thinking of 42 size. What’s your opinions on these 3 brands? Reliability wise...thanks again

    • @SailingJoy
      @SailingJoy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can not go wrong with any of them. They are all great Cats. In My opinion if your budge allows I would go for the L46 because of internal space and the Flybridge (something I like but many dislike). The L42 was perfect for me just upgraded because it was a great opportunity. Now between lagoon and FP, I personally like Lagoon better because of dealership availability around the world and resell price of the boat. It seems there are more people in the market for a lagoon than A FP at any given time, just my opinion.

    The 1st rule here should be don’t buy a Lagoon until they acknowledge the bulkhead issue and fix the cause

    • @SailingJoy
      @SailingJoy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess 1st rule is out of the picture for us ! All is going well here, no major issues on JOY after 2000 nautical miles. We are very happy with our decision so far and the support we have been getting from Lagoon. As you may know all boats will present issues and that is no different for us. Recently we got dismasted but I will cover that on an upcoming video. Lagoon was beside us 100 of the time to find the problem. Best Ed
