      Primo told OP that Flavio was cheating on her with Luisa who worked for Primo. Which is why Primo and Mirella visited OP to tell her what was really going on.
      Flavio ended up marrying Luisa who was extremely controlling and kept him on a short leash. They both got alopecia from their stressful marriage. Not a case of happily ever after for Flavio. He got played by Luisa.

    For those confused about the alimony thing: Some countries do have a law allowing a spurned fiance to sue for ending the engagement due to infidelit, abuse, etc. They consider it like breaking the contract so "alimony" is probably the closest translation

      @jacquelinecallejas1390 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know if it is STILL done, but in the past in the US especially among the rich, there was something called "Breach of Promise." This is money as compensation if you promised somebody they were going to marry you and got engaged and then you broke that promise. USUALLY it was the guy breaking the promise to the girl and the girl getting money because it put her in a bad position since she would most likely be counting on the marriage for her financial future and the financial future of her family. A good movie where it is the opposite is called Love Among the Ruins with Katherine Hepburn. I recommend it.

    • @cathyb1273

      That’s what I found about breaking engagement in Japan.
      ”Getting engaged in Japan is a legal and symbolic act. This is not something to take lightly!!!! Indeed, it is an official promise of marriage which can hardly give rise to a payment of damages to the injured party in the event of a break-up. But If an engagement is broken without a justifiable reason, it is considered a breach of promise, and damages must be paid as compensation.”
      And this not an old law, it is like this today. So that’s why they always ask about ”alimony” which is not the right term. It should be paying for damages or a compasention fees. That said I don’t think it is that easy to obtain them.

    • @shadowfoxx5317

      Depends where you yourself might be and your assumptions that where you are means the rest of the world is the same, but different countries different laws.
      Here, alimony is legally able to be sought in the ending of an engagement or a common law marriage.
      Given that Flavio was cheating his dick off in this story, he is definitely in the hook for alimony, as he is at fault for it ending

    Please read Alimony refers to court-ordered payments awarded to a spouse or former spouse within a separation or divorce agreement. The reason for alimony is to provide financial support to the spouse who makes a lower income, or in some cases, no income at all. Alienation of affection is more like it in this story.

    If these stories are taking place in the USA the writers need to do some research. She might be able to sue for aniliation of affection in a few states and if they both signed the ceremony/venue contract she might be able to sue for any money she paid and cancellation fee. But Alimony is if you were married and Palimony is in some states if you lived together for a long time. I'm against Alimony and Palimony but thats another story.

  • @MindCaged
    @MindCaged 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hmm, Luisa checking his phone so that he's not cheating on her sounds plausible, the fact that he already cheated on somebody to be with her means he's willing to cheat, so unlike some cheaters who think they stole the partner away and they're theirs forever and then are later surprised when they cheat on /them/, she's perhaps somewhat justified in her paranoia. If they've been convinced to cheat once, it'll be all the easier for them to be convinced to cheat again by somebody else. There's also projection where somebody who went out of their way to steal a guy is going to project that on everybody else and be paranoid about somebody else doing that to them. It's a hidden comeuppance to some people who have done terrible things to other people now becoming paranoid about somebody else doing that to them. After all, they know there are that type of people in the world since they're one of them themselves.

    Why was she planning a wedding this moron? Flavio is an idiot.. there's literally nothing going on up there in his head.. why is the cheating always the only deal breaker in these stories? As if all the other stuff isn't just as much of a deal breaker. Like him canceling their wedding so he can give it to his sister.. that alone would've told me all I needed to know. He's the type of man that would put someone else before you. He has so little love and respect for you, he made a huge decision without even talking to you. Damn the cheating.. RESPECT is detrimental in any relationship. But especially a marriage. You can't have a relationship without it. Impossible. Flavio held her in pure contempt. She would never be his equal. Her feelings, thoughts and wants wouldn't matter to him. I am truly baffled as to why she was even dating him, let alone actually planning on marry him?.
