Nobody was safe at a Bernard show, he'd insult everybody and anybody including himself in the name of camaraderie. One of the most misunderstood comics ever.
Well the great and the good, decided in their po-faced way, it was better we didn't get to watch Bernard, and comics like him. We needed to watch "right on" comedy, that was teaching us a lesson about how to be virtuous.

I was born in 1995 so have never experienced freedom of speech in Britain which is sad I suppose. This is absolutely wonderful seeing what true freedom was really like and to top it all off I laughed my head off.
