I love this 'theme-beneath-the-theme' of transcending oneself in half-life and it's best fan-content. The grandiose music isn't there just to be big; it's there because Barney, pushed to the limit, is becoming someone far beyond the man that walked into his shift that morning.

Best track of the whole chapter. Especially after 2:32 it raises you up to the places beyond any mind.
Men, it might not be a boss fight scene but it gave me chills when I was trying to break the Xen's distruptor portal.
