Man I don't know how people aren't in love with this game it's a breath of fresh air from the standard fighting games. Every time I play this game im on my chair for 3 -5 hours having great matches , screaming at the T.V but at the end of the day I had a blast Thanks Rare.
It is because the player count isnt very high. When people look for a new game to play they look to see if the playerbase is healthy (like i do)
I REALLY love this game and i think its the coolest and most fun looking game ive seen in years,but the playerbase just isnt high enough sadly. Since it IS a competitive pvp game it needs a playerbase WAY higher than where its at now. :/ still one of the coolest fuckin games out there no question!

It's just a weird game in terms of the control system compared to the other fighting games.

Way more entertaining than Injustice 2 and I love it. Same with Mkx Although Mk9 was better and of course SF4 and Tekken. This game is easy to learn hard to master.

Rare is in possession of the IP, who are owned by Microsoft (xbox). Killer instinct would be such a popular game again if it could get a playstation release. I really hope someday it happens. If i am in need i play it on My snes 🤟
Player 1 wins roughly 2 times as often as Player 2. Is left side screen starting position that much of an advantage?

I wish they had like some kind of tournament mode or something where each set wasn't causing a bunch of unlocks to pop up midmatch.
i would pay 1k to see the characters design from double helix, hell even their combat moves for riptor and combo. they were doing such an amazing job with every character. IG try but is not the same, the whole ultratech makeover didnt work.

Some people use standard Xbox controllers and some use arcade sticks.

Loved the tournament. Commentators can get a little annoying sometimes but besides that perfect. I mean they couldn't make it to top 8 yet they're talking at some points like they could do better

he was a character in the snes game (Doubledragons) and was never part of killer instinct.

You shouldn’t be able to break combos back to back to back to back, looks broken
it isn´t at all .. also if you get broken many times then you either should try to counterbreak or learn to make your combos harder to break ..
This game doesn't look like there's much substance to it tbh, I'm ignorant of the depth that it has but there are some telltale signs that its professional community isn't 100% comfortable with where they're at yet. Daa Chronicle wanted character select when he was playing with Nicky but he just didn't get it and that's reallllllyyyy fucked up. PS why do people keep doing random supers and dps?
In killer instinct getting hit doesn't mean the same thing as it does in other fighting games. Having your dp baited sucks but it just gives the person combo pressure. No guarantee of damage as everything past the opener/other rules as everything is breakable. However breaking is a massive risk as one counter breaker can give your opponent the round. You get the same big damage chance(albeit a little shorter) if you get someone to break the wrong strength. There's actually hella mindgames. A lot of things in Killer Instinct are 50/50s.
I thought the same thing then bought it last week on PC. The game is super deep.

Said it once and I'll say it till Idie, if you main a Gargos or any full screen spam trash characters and run LaB your not FG player or a fan. All noobs and casuals that play training wheel characters need to go back to Minecraft and Fortnite. And game dev's need to STOP making noob friendly characters and catch-up mechanics. This game stopped being cool when they switched dev teams and removed the sick normals everyone was doing.

Ok, here's the issue with your reasoning: 1st of all, there were only 3 viable characters in KI S1 (Jago, Wulf, and Sadira), 2nd of all, KI S1 had a yuuuuge assortment of issues including that little display with Grimmz there. while that setup was cool, it was sooooo not fair seeing as Jago was the only one that had nutty manuals like that. Not to mention the safe counter-breakers, Wulfs god mode dashes, and everyone's favorite: the Sadira loop. I'm not an IG fanboy by any means, but they did more good to the game than harm.

I've played Mortal Kombat since the very first one from 1992, and Killer Instinct is way more complex than Mortal Kombat. Granted, MK X is the most complex Mortal Kombat in history, but all the MK games before it pale in complexity compared to killer instinct. And even MK X is a lot easier to learn and play than KI. MK is just way more popular than KI ( because KI has been completely absent for 17 years), that's all

i like watching fighting games or fighting games tournaments, but i don't think i like this. it's fucking rash simulator. And it triggers me because Im tired of seeing rash and i keep rooting against rash.
SurgeTheUrge rash simulator? Menzo amd myself were the only Rash players in top 8. I guess 3 Gargos players(Jackal, Stilo, Chronicle) doesnt mean Gargos Simulator lol

Let me go through the video and count how many sets involve rash. Also it's entirely possible I get more annoyed by seeing rash and therefore feel like he is used more idk. First time I've ever been introduced to seeing this game, was a tournament video, with three sets in a row, with six different people, someone always using rash, and winning too.

So it's 10 sets, and rash is used 6 times, that's 60% rash participation.
Also it doesn't help that hes jumping all over the screen and spamming buttons like a spastic, i know that these are high level players, and they probably are not mashing, but it really looks like it, it's just not very entertaining to watch. Plus hes like a dickhead in his ending scene.
idk, for me rash simulator is just not pleasant to watch, but i did watch this entire video, so that's my patronage lol. But yea, it's like spectating black adam and atrocitus players from injustice two. atrocitus just never stops spamming, with him it's like the first person to press the buttons after a knock down wins the match.
yea, 3 gargos players, but they instantly lost, so gargos was only in 3 matches out of 10.
Ahem... I am one of those players. I will tell you, I am not spamming with Rash in those matches though. Menzo and I happen to be high level Rash players, hence why we use him. We are not going to drop the character when we feel super confident using him. Not a lot of people know how to deal with his match up and Gargos loses that MU(badly lol). Seeing him so much shouldn't be an issue(especially back when S1 and S2 we saw tons of Jagos in top 8).
